The Secret Place #5 “REST!” Do you see the parallel between Isaiah 30:15 and Jesus saying “come to me, I will give you rest? I was reading God’s heart this morning in Isaiah 30. A very convicting word!
I was thinking about all the times I let my flesh, or my mind convince me “I gotta do something about this, right now!!! And then wondered why God didn’t help me fix it! And then, got all in a tizzy about it! When he said the whole time: “WAIT!” “TRUST” “give me the reigns” ………..and I didn’t listen………
He was saying “I wanted you to be quiet and wait on me, but you said “NO, We will flee on horses!!” “Therefore your pursuers will be swift!” (VS 16) We can run, we can fight or we can Hide IN HIM! (Until he says to do something) And when he does we will have peace about it! AMEN?
God’s council is to wait, to trust, even when we THINK we need to do something about it! How often have we fallen for the bait of satan that says “You gotta fix this?”
Peace is a pearl of great price! We should not surrender it to or for anyone! “Help us Father” to fight the right fight! And “be in the right” WITH YOU and your word!
I was that "unpopular" weird kid, that didn't fit in anywhere, in High School. I guess I never knew my place in life, until Jesus took me in. I've been rejected, misunderstood, left out, bullied, abused, scandalized, and labeled.
In 2002 I got on a bus and left a marraige of sixteen years, that was fraught with abuse and heartache. In school, I used to be so afraid to stand in front of the class and speak, my hands would visibly shake, and I could not look at my audience without being terrified.
Years later, I find myself leading a school music production, speaking in front of churches, and walking around with confidence, because I know the King of Kings is at my side.
My ministry, prayers and blogs are directed toward those who feel like they were never enough. You never fit in.
