Like the three little pigs, we are free to choose how we build. God will not force us to do anything one way or the other. When Jesus spoke in Revelation about gold (saying they were pitiful, poor, blind and naked), He was talking about the revelation we receive for ourselves about Him. We can’t stand on another person’s testimony, we can only stand on our own testimony and revelation of Jesus Christ. The rewards of God are more than just what we receive at the end of our lives.
Some rewards are also because of our prayers of Faith, and our willingness to consider God’s wisdom more precious than our own wisdom. Religiousness and doctrines we follow, which, when we have no real idea why we follow them, nor having any real idea what they mean to us personally, (and why) are like wood, hay and stubble.
The wisdom of God must be sought with great eagerness, and every time we receive from Him a nugget of his Wisdom, apply it to our lives and go on to seek more (from HIM) we are building with precious stones. Be Encouraged, his wisdom will prevail in the fire. Be encouraged God wants you to have His wisdom! Proverbs 2. Put His Wisdom first.

1 Corn 3:12 “Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
