God causes heart and mind transformation he is not into “behavior modification” because it has no lasting effect.
In the military we had behavior modification. You break the rules you have an instant consequence. We were trained in fear of consequences.
Most are relieved to get out don’t do that stuff anymore and it’s the same with retirement! People are overjoyed to not be constantly monitored. See? Modification doesn’t stick. As soon as the fence is gone the horses run free.
God changes us from the inside out that is HIS WAY! You can put forth whatever image you want- but he sees the inside, and that’s why he told the Pharisees they were full of dead means bones and other gross things…
He saw their heart and it was not pretty.
Some of you need to realize those who have the right image may not have the heart you have. Trust God to re-shape you the way he sees fit.
Part of walking by Faith is to learn to love yourself as you are; because God loves you as you are already……if we don’t see ourselves the way God sees us, we will not likely be able to move forward in and with him.
He took you on when you were a mess, and he’s not done with you yet!
He’s your counsellor (He said so in his Word) Ask for his advice! He is listening! He hears you! He loves you so much!

On gifts ….I want to share that we all have gifts inside us from God almighty. I can’t speak for you, but I don’t feel happy or fullfilled if I’m not using the gifts God put inside me.
I think one of mine is “encouragment” ……
Through the years “this old guitar” has travelled with me to the houses of friends and so many places. I learned to play guitar when I was about 17 teaching myself with a John Denver Song book. I took my guitar to the air force the very first song I learned was a Lutheran Camp song called “Allelu” And even before I gave my heart to Jesus I sang that song, just because I loved it.
I would try to play with other musicians and could not keep up, or didn’t know the chords. Over the years I prayed and struggled to learn songs now I probably know over 100. I know how to read chords, but there are still some I can’t quite play so I learned how to get around it. I’ve sang for my grandkids and at my daughter’s wedding which was a privilege.
I have gone to rest homes and state homes and I’ve played on the street and all by myself on the deck. My guitar went with me to fill in as music teacher and to my dad’s house to play and I’ve sang for my mom and her cousin and her friends that visited from out of town.
My gift goes with me wherever I go. It’s not limited to the walls of a church building. This lesson came from not being able to sing in church for a long time because either I was not needed or work would not allow me to go their practice times.
I have my favorite songs, but I’ve learned to surrender my gift to the Lord now. I ask him what songs should I play? What would truly help someone today? Or maybe I shouldn’t sing at all because it’s someone else’s turn. ![]()
You all know I’m a preacher on growing. I am humble enough to admit I had some really bad “little kid fits” over not getting to use my gift when I wanted to at times. The key is to stay ready, keep on letting God teach, train and coach you……be ready for the opportunity he allows. If we do that, His river of life will surely see to it that we use the gifts he’s put inside of us! And there is nothing More fullfilling than doing what we were called to do.

Matthew 21:21
It is not unspiritual to face facts about a matter, or call it what it is.
When Jesus cursed the fig tree (that did not bear fruit) He was not punishing the tree. He was giving a very vivid example to the disciples about what happens if we are not producing (and growing) In him. (John 15).
Many today call facing the facts “Judgement” and feel that someone is on their cases if they point out reality about something.
We can’t just stick our heads in the sand and call it faith. Faith faces reality and overcomes it by Trusting God.
Speaking to the mountain by Faith WILL move it. The mountain you are speaking to may be the mountain of (your own) unbelief and not the circumstances. When the Mountain is gone; the circumstances will change. Selah

I was thinking about God not staying in his box this morning, and trying to think how to describe my Christian Life! Instantly I thought about Paper Dolls. If you remember them you are probably a little bit “Over the hill” (Like I am!).
I had some paper dolls as a kid. The clothes were cut out and put onto the paper doll, which was usually made of cardboard. They were cool, but if you would have ever had a paper doll smaller or larger than the clothing, none of it would have fit.
Thankfully, God doesn’t design clothes like the ones made for paper dolls, and expect us to fit even though we do not fit! Sometimes we feel like we need to be trimmed to fit the clothing man has designed for us, because it doesn’t quite fit, and we look funny! What fits YOU may not fit ME! But that doesn’t mean I’m defective.
I”m sure when someone (like me) stands and quotes a scripture like the one below, it seems to cause rebellious rabble rousers to say YEAH! And bible teachers to cringe. Do we get what God is saying here?
“And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ (Matthew 15:9 NKJV)
When we thought “Dad” was mad at us as kids, we tended to want to hide, or run in terror. When we are scared (of God) we cannot even hear what he wants to say. Such is the case with many who read this scripture.
What does it mean to abide in the Vine?
For the last week I’ve had songs about abiding in the vine going through my head and spirit. What does this mean? (I used to ask myself). In 1 John we are told if we abide in him we will ask (and it shall be done). So abiding in the vine has something to do with covenant as well. It’s not automatic. It’s a decision we make to live in and with Jesus, in all that we do.
🙂
Some want to keep him in a box, let him out when there is difficulty or troube, and do their own thing the rest of the time. We CAN Do this but it doesn’t mean we should! Jesus is pretty clear in John 15 and does not mince words with us when he said:
” Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
John 15:3-8 NKJV
If we abide in (LIVE IN) Jesus we will know his will for us.
This is why our prayers will now be answered- because we have asked him how we should pray! To not live in Him sets us up for great failure, and the devil will use every opportunity to say, “See? God was not with you?” He never stops, he is a little opportunist for evil and despair. If you want Victory in your life, aim to live IN the vine IN Jesus! Let him be your teacher, instructor and guide.
Church is fine but it’s not THE Answer. Abiding in the Vine is the answer. Church is where you hopefully find people with answers but that is only if they have become his disciples and are growing in him. If they aren’t they won’t have any answers because: “APART FROM JESUS THEY CAN DO NOTHING.”
This is the word of the Lord and, it’s all true. Laura Grace, Author, Grace to Grow
God loves you just as much as he always has. When things go wrong it’s not God doing it. Storms, floods, trials …none of it is an ‘act of God.”
Remember that in the Old Testament everything was under a shadow; and even THEY (the ones who recorded what happened) did not see the whole picture.
What I get out of the story of Job-is not God letting satan loose on people, it’s that Job saw his enemy was the devil- and not God. Satan accused Job- and Job did not have Jesus for his defense attorney as Jesus had not arrived
(YET!). This is why Jesus told his disciples “Blessed are you to hear what you hear”
and talked about others who wanted to see and hear what they had (but did not!).
So while Job is a great example of Faith- he is not an example of New Testament living! We need to remember that. ![]()
Job didn’t have Ephesians 6 -and the teachings on standing up in the Authority of God with your Armour on. WE DO ……..
Galatians 3 and 4. – Laura Grace

Yet, in the same circles, if we give something and say I’m praying to reap a harvest those same persons will say “You shouldn’t give to get!” Oh My! Talk about a GOOD NEWS crowd Eh? (NOT!) 😮😂
THIS is a True story….
My friends in Fla last year were faced with quite the decision when
a hurricane warning came to their area. They work at a trailer park
and began to receive warnings about a big storm (Irma). They are
prayer warriors and follow God’s will for their lives, no holds barred.
At some point as the threat was increasing, some officals came, and
said there is a mandatory evacuation. My friends and the persons at
the park were told they needed to leave, or they would die.
The saints would not be moved and stood their ground, even asking
the Lord the power would not go out. As the wall of the hurricane
came barrelling toward them, they prayed and put their hope and trust
in God. Not only were they not destroyed, and no lives were lost-but
the power did not go out.
Many did comply with the evacuation but a few did not.
God’s faithfulness
to his word once again prevailed “in the eye of the storm.”
(Shared with permission)- It was on my heart to share this testimony
about how God came through in a situation that was life or death. There
was very minimal damage to the park, and can we just give a shout of
glory for people who trust God, stand their ground and pray? LG
Halleluiah! Glory to God! we praise you Father for your wonderful works!
Psalm 107: 30-32
He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.

Some are experiencing “death by criticism” right now. And you need to fight for your life and extinguish those flaming arrows with prayer and the blood of Jesus Christ! Criticism should be constructive. Not destructive!
Proverbs 26:17-19 “He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own
Is like one who takes a dog by the ears.
18 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death,
19 Is the man who deceives his neighbor, and says, “I was only joking!”
Let’s think about dogs for a moment. What do they do? Our dogs used to fight over a bone (even if they each were given their own bone!). It was sport to them. Now, dogs to not have the make-up of human beings. They do not ask questions like; “How come you don’t go chew on your own bone?”
The nature of dogs is to fight over a bone, bite for sport, and if someone bothers their home or family “growl, snarl,” and maybe even bite someone! The Nature of crows is to eat your seeds (of Faith).
And look at the passage above. How do you “throw” Death at someone?
James says “life and death” are in the tongue (and it can be an unruly evil full of deadly poison!). How so?
I had a friend who called me once, and said how some Christians told her how “messed up she was’ by a certain activity she was doing. I’ve heard countless stories of how someone “Christian” said “do you need prayer?” The person said “yes’ and the Christian (a representative of Jesus by the way) told them how God isn’t going to answer because of sin in their life.
It could be anything from smoking, drinking or living with someone not married yet, to not attending church, or listening to the wrong type of music. THEIR SIN is not your business! It’s God’s business! And their business! and if he has you say anything to convict them A HUGE dose of God love will go out in front of your words so that hearing about their sin will be so full of Love they will say THANK YOU For the conviction. That’s how GOD works! He is not a soul killer that kills people with the letter of His laws!!!!. The letter of the law kills the Spirit BRINGS LIFE!!!
2 Corinthians 3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for theletter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
TELL ME one example where Jesus Said they could not be prayed for because of sin? IN fact, even for those IN Christ it says in James “and the prayer of faith will make the sick man well, and his sins will be forgiven.” (James 5).
So then, death by criticism comes in many forms. The Spirit of God brings life, and a person’s hope is renewed that God’s going to help them. When someone comes along and says; “He will not” because of sin, because this person is not doing what YOU did to get where you are at, or because God just doesn’t do that (according to You!) You are causing “Death by Criticisim” and you don’t even know what you are talking about. You are not God! You don’t KNOW what he will do or not do. Capiche?
These Crow-like ways are NOT the nature of God!
Faith is fragile when it first starts out. It’s like a tender young plant, and the seed of faith is growing into this beautiful & young (sapling, tree) and if someone comes along and “mows it down” with their words of Unbelief, jealousy, or anything else not of God, it’s like the crow who stole the seed in Matthew 13.
So (Christian) your job is to Protect the seed. Watch over it, guard it, and chase off the crows!
The seeds of God are far more precious than any seed upon this earth! You need that garden of God’s word to live on! Don’t allow the devil to “kill your dreams” through others that don’t agree with you.
IF you are not all the way perfect, or right with God yet (in every area of your life), welcome to the club (of humanity). HE will show you what to do and when! Find out for yourself what the Word of God says about his heart toward mankind! Find out for yourself! Ask him! Today!! Today is a great day to get started!
“Father today I ask you if this person reading has been stolen from by those who are like crows, I pray you would restore and re-assure them about their Faith, and allow them to see and know that Faith pleases you, it honors you, and those seeds of Faith in your word that have been planted “Must Remain” and be cultivated and watered. I pray for great crops in their lives today Father! and a Very great Outcome (and more testimonies of you!) In Jesus’ name! amen!”
With Love and assurance God is for you, not against you!
