Bullies, and the needs of the many ……

bullies 2bullies

Bullies! We all know they are bad, and tend to intimidate, such as in this scene (above) from Little House on the Prairie, where the town of Walnut Grove, is visited by bullies.

In this episode, (called the Bully boys) the kind, nice, and even hospitable town’s people, are duped into helping a clan, which they later learn, are bullies.

We sort of get the feeling it’s because of their Christian charity, that they ever open their doors to these guys (who are bullies) In the first place!

Hey I’m just one little gal from Montana (who Prays) Not saying I know much, but I do know what a bully is, when I see one, and I do know about COMMON SENSE!

WE need Spock-like thinkers for leaders (Speaking of Hollywood) who say things like “The needs of the many, outweigh, the needs of the few.” And, Spock was no hypocrite, he did lay down his life (for the needs of the many) in the Wrath of Khan. There was none of this, “Oh Poor Khan,” He just had a difficult time, and needs to steal our ship! Nope!

In this little house episode, the town took care of it, ran the bullies out of town. They didn’t have to pray first, wonder if they were walking in love, or whether they were being politically correct (or not). A bully is a person who believes the need of the ONE (them) outweighs the needs of “everyone else” and they use intimidation, manipulation, threats, and whatever else they can grab hold of, (a big stick?) to get their way.

Captain Kirk constantly defended his ship, and the town of Walnut Grove drove out the bullies, in an awesome scene, where they were grabbed by the scruff of the neck, escorted out of town, and sent back to where they came from (wherever it was.) So then, tell me, are we thinking in terms of how the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few?

So, can you think of any situations right now, where a small group of people, who have “a right” To take over the nation are getting away with it? In the name of THEIR COMFORT?

Because ultimately, that’s what a bully is. It is someone who doesn’t care how it affects everyone else, so long as they feel better, and they are going to use guilt, threats, manipulation, “I WILL SUE YOU” ……..to get their way. Enough said. -Laura Grace

Is there a recipe, for growing? Here’s a start

GROW CoVER.jpgClick to buy: https://www.amazon.com/Grace-Grow-Study-Guide-Laura-ebook/dp/B01BZG0ICW?ie=UTF8&keywords=Grace%20to%20grow%20by%20Laura%20Grace&qid=1463327454&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

In 1 Peter it says, “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue, knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.”
Christians love the song Amazing Grace, and so do I.

However, singing the song does not make a person become “un-blind” no matter how many times we sing it. Likewise, we are given the recipe for growing, in this power-packed verse.

So many times, Christians are led through a process of repentance, asking Jesus into their hearts, then on to going to church, attending services, singing songs (such as Amazing Grace) and then sent out into the world to “preach the gospel” to every creature. How can they preach a gospel they are not familiar with?
It’s like asking children to go out and get jobs. Consequently, many grow up (in church) believing that love is always the answer, and, not really understanding the definition of Love, proceed to fall into all kinds of sins, temptations, and doctrines that say a loving God would never send anyone to hell.
Without the knowledge of what the Word of God truly means, how can anyone clearly make such a statement? God is love, He is mercy, he is kindness, but He is also uncompromising, and a consuming fire. He is so many things, and we need to know this, and experience it, for ourselves. This is what is called a Testimony. A personal witness, where you have experienced God (and his fullness) for yourself.
You are Holy Spirit taught, blood bought, and you know the voice of God for yourself, just as the Lord intended. Don’t settle for less than what the Lord has in mind for you, and be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you, as you study and read the bible for yourself. Don’t take someone else’s word for it, as to what you should believe. Eternity is at stake, and I know you don’t want to lead others astray.

Righteous by Faith, my Sunday Morning Sermon

a guy fishingGOOD MORNING!

I want to share something with you, that has helped ME for many years now. One day I was reading the bible (years ago) and I ran across the passage that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” By the Power of God’s spirit this passage changed my life! Why? Because, that day, I realized that no matter the outcome, no matter what happens, God is pleased when I am having Faith in Him about a situation. No more of this worrying, that I will look like a fool if I trusted Him, and a certain outcome did not happen fast enough, soon enough, or anything else.

“What if” you Trust God, with all of your Heart,” (the devil says) And you just look stupid, fall flat on your face, and do not get the outcome you were believing for?” One of satan’s favorite weapons, is to tell people they are going to look stupid if they “were wrong” If they were having faith about a situation. Who cares?

If I trust God, I will always have a good outcome. God told Sampson if he let anyone cut his hair, he would lose his strength. He Trusted God to help him gain back his strength, just so he could slay his enemies. This is old Testament, Pre-Jesus! Guess what? God gave him back his strength! Noah trusted God, (found Grace by believing for Grace) and got instructions how to save his whole household! Abraham Trusted God even when God said “I will destroy this city” by saying “Will you save the city, even for 10?” and he reasoned with God and I dare say, kind of argued with him! The book of James, Romans and this passage in Matthew mentions Abraham, which Jesus said we are the children of Abraham. (Made the Pharisees pretty mad, too!) Galatians 3:5-7New King James Version (NKJV) Books of Galatians:

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[ Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

SO if you are believing, and the outcome isn’t (right now) what you thought it would be, Rejoice! Keep Trusting! Keep having Faith! DEFY What you see and Believe for God’s best anyway! I can tell you this, God counts it as righteousness.  Therefore, you have already been blessed, the very moment you start believing! Isn’t it grand? You are the winner! You did not give up! You are having Faith in God! (and, he is pleased!!).

Who cares what anyone else thinks? With love and blessings! Laura Grace

We all want a Happy Ending…..don’t we?

Rainbow aI was thinking this morning, How we all Want a Happy Ending! If I am honest, my favorite movies are the ones which have one. How about you? People are drawn to the spectacular…..the Hero who wins the day,

The Villain that “gets his punishment” and the one whom all their dreams come true…….I was thinking how, we all have our own story, don’t we? It’s too easy to judge ourselves, just because we didn’t have the outcome we intended, or even believed for……

I think it’s fine to believe for miracles (and happy endings) but the truth is, we need to be prepared for both the happy ending, and the times it doesn’t all go like we wished…….

For me, that’s what Christianity truly is (in part) to learn to be content in all things, to learn to be happy and rejoice “despite the outcome” that is not going how we wished it would go. There are so many times in my life, I was weeping, disappointed and things did not go how I prayed (or how I planned) but later….I found that God did not forget!

SUDDENLY the thing I desired appeared! And had I given up completely….to the point where IF I had burned my bridges (so to speak) I never would have seen the Miracles I believed for!

HOPE LIVES even when things seem to be going oh so wrong……HOPE says MY GOD HAS NOT Forgotten my prayers……He loves me, HE cares……He wants what is best for me. Happy Resurrection day to you all, even though the real Passover is April 2016 this year! See? The day does not matter the technicality of it all “does not matter” because God is far more interested in what we believe about Him! That HE IS GOOD that HE LOVES US.

That’s why he sent Jesus………to show us all how much HE really does care! if we can’t get that simple truth….how can we get any more from Him? (and have our Happy Ending!)

Knowing God: Drawn like a magnet

FATHER MAgneT.jpgGod wants to know us! You know? And I know what you might be thinking too; He already does (doesn’t he?) Why do you suppose the devils of hell “Knew’ Who Paul was? Because of his intimacy with God, the Lord (and the devil) Knew who he was! This word “KNOW” is not the same thing as knowing about someone. It’s a word about intimacy and a close relationship with God our Father in heaven. I can know all about my spouse; yet not really know him. (Isn’t that true?) I can know where he works and what chair he sits in every night; his favorite foods and his favorite hang outs; but there are things (hopefully) your spouse or even best friend knows about you that nobody else does. The cultivation of this type of relationship is what I am talking about here;

You can hold the scepter of God and even be an instrument of Faith and his power; but if you know him (and he knows you) that is the kind of person the devil is afraid when you step out of bed in the morning! What is he (or she) going to do next (he wonders).

And guess what? We’re not telling until the time has come!

Father I ask you today in Jesus’ name; Be like a magnet to me and draw me close to you I pray! Let good things and good friends and good company be drawn to me like a magnet draws the steel. Let open doors, opportunity and every good thing of you be drawn toward my life right now! I am believing you For Good things Father and I truly do want to know you today better than I have ever known you before! IN Jesus’ name! amen

Steeped in Tradition. by Laura Grace

TEA BAGS.jpg

This morning God was speaking to my heart and I want to share this with you. Then I’m putting it in my book “Grace to grow” study guide which I trust will be done soon and then published and released to you all. He was talking to me about being steeped in Tradition. He (Jesus) answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? Matthew 15

I want to share that many of us are steeped in tradition from the time we are young. Most of you are whether you realize it or not. Some to more of a degree than others; but traditions are part of our society, upbringing and it’s all around us. We are taught in school to honor certain traditions. It happens in the work place. I happens all around us. Putting up a tree is a tradition; SO are anniversary celebrations and putting our hands over our heart when the flag flies. Churches have traditions. Families have them. Society. It’s everywhere.

So let’s look at the word steeped for a minute: When a tea bag is soaked (steeped) the water turns brown and the tea and the water become one.
Jesus wants us to be one with him and God the Father but we are “steeped” in so many things it’s no minor task for him to get us out of that. So you see? We aren’t going to get out of this tradition problem by just name it and claim it. Not by marching around proclaiming we have changed. Not by praying a prayer (or two or three) or just reading a good book about overcoming. The transformation God wants to do will come from within (by his Spirit) and move outward until his rivers of life flush your soul clean. When he’s done you won’t be bound by traditions anymore. You can’t mentally just decide you are going to go from point A to Point B: God has to take you there by his Spirit.

I think we really need to see how impossible it is to be like Him in order to see what a miracle it is when we become like him. It really is a job he does from the inside out. “Out of your belly” he said shall flow rivers of living water. But you have to receive that by faith and aim for it; strive for it; Insist on it even. I would say CHOOSE that over Tradition. What your mom did, your dad did, your church, your friends or even your town and co workers: Doesn’t matter if God says let it go then LET IT GO! I’m going to be really daring and say even what your spouse thinks is not so important as what God is saying to you about a matter.

IF you are steeped: face it admit it then make plans with God to quit it. Loving people is one thing: Steeped in tradition is another. And I want you to remember something: what Jesus said back then was a seed. He expected that seed to spring up and produce other offshoots of this revelation the same way a tree branches out. We should never limit God to just the words printed on the pages of our bibles. God did not use the word seed for no reason. He wanted us to think about what seeds do. They come up out of the ground and the plant or tree “branches out” gets taller; Is no longer just a side but a living growing being. So should you be. And purity is simply this: becoming un-steeped and unpolluted by the traditions of this world. You can be that way and still enjoy a Christmas party.

Or a birthday party. However you are “at” the part not “of it”. Get it? Think in terms of inside to outside. Water from God flowing up through your Spirit “flushing out” all that is not of him. Washing it away. Down the drain. Let it go.
Question: Do you see some areas where you are steeped in tradition? Write them down. Let God know you want it flushed out. That you want to be more like him and become all He intended you to be.

Transparent and in the light #8 Be Righteousness conscious

Transparent and in the light #8 by Laura Grace: I was trying to think of a time when Jesus got all upset or worried about what the government was doing. I couldn’t think of one. As my renewed mind walked through the New Testament all I could see was him going around doing good, blessing, sharing the Good news and warning everyone publicly about the religious attitude that hinders people from entering into the Kingdom. See We can’t enter in so long as we are all upset and sin conscious. We must become “righteousness conscious” and be renewed in the Spirit of our minds as to who we are in Him. This never changes. God never changes.-LG
