Are you weary, tired? A whole new spin on sin……

Grace to Soar cover.jpg

A whole new spin, on sin

Before we soar, we run. How do I know? It says so, in Isaiah chapter 40, “they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint,” is before we soar!

In Hebrews 12 it says, cast off the weight, and sin that besets you (weighs you down) and run (with patience) the race SET before you. God sets the race, you are the one who decides to run it, and the Holy Spirit is willing to show you, what weighs you down.

We don’t need to police each other about sin, in the Body of Christ. What we need to do is encourage. The word encourage means, to build up, (not tear down). Therefore, how do we encourage each other? If you see a person who is running, panting, wheezing, and is carrying a heavy load, what should we do?

We step in and help. Don’t we? If we can’t help we pray, if we can’t pray, we need to grow some more, until we can offer that blessing.

Here’s my spin on sin- it’s a lot of work to keep on sinning. If a person is ensnared (by sin) whether it’s an obvious sin, like porn addiction, drug addiction, Television addiction, shopping addiction, or any other type of snare, the person trapped by this is the one in trouble, not you, yourself. If they are in trouble, they need prayer, not condemnation.

I feel sorry for people trapped in sin. Did you hear me? I feel sad, sorry, and my heart goes out to them. Why? Because, it’s a lot of work to keep sin going. It demands more and more from you, it robs people of time they could be doing other things, like loving their family, caring for their children, and living life abundant.

We need to encourage by saying things like, “Look, without this hindrance, you could run faster, farther, and more efficiently.” Any disobedience to God is sin. Because of the righteousness of Jesus IN WHICH you stand as a Christian, you are constantly forgiven, even of all the sins you do not see right now.

Therefore, to say “Hey, Maybe you can run better,” minus this weight of false guilt, shame, people’s opinions about what you should be doing, or any other interference Paul was discussing, in Galatians 3, is helpful. Not helpful? Getting on someone’s case, telling them what a big sinner they are, according to you!

We are not policemen, we are encouragers! “My bible tells me so”  and besides, feeling we have to be policemen, is also a weight. Get rid of it! I sure did! Praise GOD

Getting free from religion……….

Getting Free from Religion

Ecclesiastes 7: And I find bitterer than death, the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be trapped by her. (NKJV)

This passage jumped off the pages at me, many years ago. I remember reading it over and over, fascinated, as I knew it was ministering to me, but, was not sure why.

I believe the reason is, I saw right away, that the scripture is talking about a flesh and blood problem, versus a spiritual one. I believe demons empower evil thinking, and evil ways, just as the Lord, His Spirit, and His Angels, help those who are on the right track.

At the time I read it, I could relate. I had been in a long time of trying to understand a person, who did not want to be understood. Oh, they said they did, but in reality, the goal of their heart was to dominate me, make me do things their way, and trap me in my own desires and words. And what, (you might ask) does this have to do with religion?

Religion is doing something to please God, whereas relationship with God, is to walk and talk with Him, just as Adam did in the garden, so long ago.

If we really believe Jesus came to break the curses, give us new birth, restoration with our Heavenly Father, and all the other numerous promises he made, why is this so hard to grasp? Well, because religion comes in, sometimes with the help of the enemy, and teaches us we have to earn everything. We believe for one minute, Jesus paid the price to redeem us, and he is our righteousness, and we are so delivered, and the next minute, someone is teaching us it’s all conditional, and not free, after all.

I related to the “more bitter than death” part of the passage, and I certainly did feel the snares. How I knew I was snared, was that every time I tried to walk away, (from my captor) the guilt snare pulled me backward. If that didn’t work, the trapping of my own promises, caught me instead. No matter what I did, the enemy (of hell) always seemed to have a way to snare me, trap me, and keep me shackled. I was shackled by the rule to love, to forgive, to always trust, to never give up on anybody. I was chained to fear, fearing I would disobey God if I just walked away, from this person I had sworn to love.

Jezebel was (an actual) person. I don’t know where anyone gets the idea there is a spirit of Jezebel, but to me that just means, a person who acts just like she did. It’s not the same thing as a spirit of infirmity, the spirit of anti-Christ, or even legion.

Is there a recipe, for growing? Here’s a start

GROW CoVER.jpgClick to buy: https://www.amazon.com/Grace-Grow-Study-Guide-Laura-ebook/dp/B01BZG0ICW?ie=UTF8&keywords=Grace%20to%20grow%20by%20Laura%20Grace&qid=1463327454&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

In 1 Peter it says, “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue, knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.”
Christians love the song Amazing Grace, and so do I.

However, singing the song does not make a person become “un-blind” no matter how many times we sing it. Likewise, we are given the recipe for growing, in this power-packed verse.

So many times, Christians are led through a process of repentance, asking Jesus into their hearts, then on to going to church, attending services, singing songs (such as Amazing Grace) and then sent out into the world to “preach the gospel” to every creature. How can they preach a gospel they are not familiar with?
It’s like asking children to go out and get jobs. Consequently, many grow up (in church) believing that love is always the answer, and, not really understanding the definition of Love, proceed to fall into all kinds of sins, temptations, and doctrines that say a loving God would never send anyone to hell.
Without the knowledge of what the Word of God truly means, how can anyone clearly make such a statement? God is love, He is mercy, he is kindness, but He is also uncompromising, and a consuming fire. He is so many things, and we need to know this, and experience it, for ourselves. This is what is called a Testimony. A personal witness, where you have experienced God (and his fullness) for yourself.
You are Holy Spirit taught, blood bought, and you know the voice of God for yourself, just as the Lord intended. Don’t settle for less than what the Lord has in mind for you, and be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you, as you study and read the bible for yourself. Don’t take someone else’s word for it, as to what you should believe. Eternity is at stake, and I know you don’t want to lead others astray.

The Plumbline of Love, do you want to know what Love really is?

LOVE THAT BOATGod was speaking to my heart this morning, about the plumb line of Love. He impressed on my heart very strongly, that most do not know what Love truly is, according to Him.

Here are some things I’ve heard from Christians over the years. Love is Discipline. Love is Caring. Love is compassion, love is to be kind in the face of evil, love always endures, love never gives up, love does not hurt people, love always forgives, and the list goes on.

From non-Christians I’ve heard, Love does not judge, love isn’t mean, love respects people enough to mind their own business and not intrude, and the list goes on.

The Lord impressed on me, very strongly, that most Christians do not even know what Love is, according to God almighty. Oh Sure, we’ve read the words, in 2 Corinthians, but that does not mean we understand it. Its okay, because he understands we are developing, seeking, and growing, (we hope!)

So I will share with you what He has shared with me: “We know in part.” (What love is) but Here is what he also said to me, “The reason there are transgender bathroom laws, if because there are those who know these people feel unloved, and they want to fix it.”

WOW. Now, He did not tell me it was a great idea, He just said what He saidand I am not going to add to it. He Spoke truth to my heart.

Now, we have those who feel unloved because they don’t feel safe in these bathrooms anymore. Was this is a good solution?

I never would have heard God say this to me, had I not prepared the soil of my heart by allowing him to get rid of fear, judgment, and all those other things he showed me were not of him. I would not have been able to hear it.

So then, what is Love, according to God? I would say it’s a result of pondering what we would want done unto us (the Golden rule) and praying about each and every individual situation, treating people as unique, to the best of our ability, and not making blanket statements. Sounds like hard work, does it not? YES it is……..It really is……

Maybe we should roll our sleeves up, pray and Get down to asking the Lord to define, what a labor of love for him really is, to each of us as people. Can I get an Amen?

Paul’s Thorn, Messengers of the devil

glowing_thorns (2)

2Co 12:7 — “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.”

Now, here we have, the famous passage about the thorn in the flesh. It clearly says messenger, I’m not sure how that could be interpreted another way.

And, what does buffet mean? I believe this passage was brought to mind and heart, just recently. Father in the name of Jesus, help us to understand your word, and what it means to us personally, in Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”

If  person is questioning you all the time, to the point it’s ridiculous, saying you are full of it, telling you how stupid you are, calling you names, saying things that are not true (about you) It’s not necessarily persecution. Oh I realize, that’s the first thing we think, but in this case Paul did not even resist (this messenger, who was under the influence of the evil one) But pleaded with God, to take it away from him! Why? AND this is one case where God said “No” to his request. hmm …..”It turns out for your Good,” He basically said.

So this is also a passage about all things working for Good (Romans 8) or the fiery trial that refines you (book of James) So, you see how it all ties together now ? AND It’s clear God is not doing it (messenger of satan, not God!) so ……….

I was considering telling you what to think (about this passage) but will leave you to the Holy Spirit, and your own conclusions with him today. Suffering, NOT FROM GOD but he does and can “turn it out for good” in our lives, Amen?

Proverbs 17:12 Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool bent on folly.
Proverbs 26:4   Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. Proverbs 26:5  Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.

So do we ALWAYS Resist the devil? (as it says in James) OR do we need to ask God by his Spirit WHICH passage applies at which time? HMM ………

Shattered (broken) How Pain changes us forever …..

shattered%20livesFather in the name of Jesus I pray please, help me get across this message the way you want me to, by your Spirit, and amen.

PAIN CHANGES US forever, whether we like it or not. Pain gets across truth, whether we choose to realize it or not, as well. Let me give you an example.

I used to believe, it was never right to use deadly force. I was idealistic. When I was 18 years old, (many years ago) a person lied to me, knocking on the door, saying they wanted to inquire about my car, and whether or not it was for sale. He said he had a car like mine, and was interested in the engine. I said it wasn’t for sale ……….and I had the screen door locked as I talked to him through the screen.

I was a humanitarian, I believed in giving everyone a chance, I did not like people who seemed to be suspicious, fearful of other people, or even overly cautious…..

I did not believe in the booger man, and I did not believe in packing guns.

This man then (after his car story didn’t work) asked for a glass of water. I remember thinking it was a weird request, for just a moment in time. I unlocked the screen door, and that’s when it happened.

It was like a scene from a movie, unreal, terrifying, beyond words horrifying. He said he was going to rape me. I tried to be smart, had a heavy pan by the sink, backed up and grabbed it. I raised and said GET OUT In the loudest voice I could muster. Quicker than lightening, he had my wrist, got the pan out of my hand, had his hand over my mouth (because I screamed) and yes, raped me.

Then he had the gall, when he was arrested later, to tell his attorney, he thought I wanted it to happen because I was wearing shorts.

This blog is my warfare of truth, against a show I saw last night, one about Christians, going on and on about how it’s never right to kill, or to use deadly force, because of the 10 commandments. Let me tell you something, if something like that was happening to my child, and they refused to stop because I held up a gun, I would shoot them.

Chances are if I had a gun, they would stop. Certainly this cowardly rapist, bully, horrifying man, would have stopped, if I had a gun with the thing cocked and ready. Maybe I could have stopped him with Mace, who knows? IF Perhaps he was not loaded on some sort of drug that stops the pain.

It took me years to heal and recover, even with multitudes of fervent faith-filled prayer. I was afraid for so long after that, Sometimes I wondered if I would ever recover, but I did.

PAIN Changes people. If we will not seek after and listen to wisdom, chances are, eventually pain will change our perspective.

It’s not a punishment and it’s not Judgment in the sense of God saying “NOW, you shall suffer” it’s more like, “I can’t help you if you don’t listen …………” (Is what God is really saying, with is pure heart of Love and acceptance) ……..Now trust me when I say, When someone Kills God’s kids, or even tries to kill them, HE IS indignant! He is Fired up! And he does have a plan for his own kind of vengeance against his enemies………..

So pardon me, if I don’t agree when someone says nobody should have guns, because some misuse them, and do bad things with them. There are thousands of stabbings every year, nobody takes all of our kitchen knives. There are thousands of rapes…………and men are still allowed to have…………well you know……

As the voice of wisdom pleads with us in Proverbs I plead with you now……..Cry out for wisdom, beg for it, search for it as hidden treasure ……

I know I wished I had done it sooner………after all the Pain I endured….And when I did, I found out so many things about what the Lord really meant, in his word. At one time, I thought God actually sent this pain (of rape) and many other horrible things that happened to “teach me a lesson” ……….

If that’s the way you believe, I feel sad for you. Let the Holy Spirit help you OUT Of this type of thinking. Amen Blessings to you all………

The Judgement of God, in Action, Book of Acts

I was reading Acts Chapter 12 Today. Let’s see, what happened here? First Herod is harassing the church (of new believers) and he has James killed, (verse 2) then seized Peter, Locked him up in Prison. This all during the feast of Passover.

The church prayed for Peter CONSTANTLY It says. Suddenly, an Angel shows up (verse 7) and by verse 11, it says he was delivered by this very same Angel. An iron gate opens by itself, Peter walks out. The church, who is praying in faith, is still amazed when he’s free.

Verse 19, Herod has the guards killed for not doing their jobs. (Very unrighteous of him) and in Verse 23, we have the report Herod is now STRUCK by an Angel and dies.

“the church was praying constantly……..”

Now, I don’t know what they were praying exactly, but if they were praying constantly, I think it’s logical to say, they probably didn’t just pray the Lord’s prayer or just say “you’re will be done” and walk off and go about their business. They were passionate, fervent, and effectual about their prayers. I dare say, they had made up their minds that James getting killed was not God’s best, and that Peter should not be locked up in Prison by a wicked man! I want you to notice, two Angels showed up!

I dare say God in his Wisdom and Mercy, made an individual Judgment call in this circumstance as well. And he rules in favor of his children…..

The Meaning of Humble ……

Mom and Me 2011 in shedThis is my Mom. Happy Mother’s day Mom!

You know, I did not expect my books to be wildly popular, although I do expect God’s favor to be upon them. When I set out on the path of Growing in the Lord, I had no idea what fate would await me. I had no idea how much correction would come. I look back at how I was then, versus how I am now, and I am both amazed and staggered at the same time …………

When I finally had worn myself out trying to convince everyone they should think like me and accept Jesus, whom I claimed to know so well, I was so broken, so tired, so weary of trying to “run the race” as they call it, and I had no idea really what that statement even meant! I knew so many scriptures, yet I really knew nothing at all, except that Christ had saved me from myself. I knew I didn’t deserve his love, I knew I was constantly messing up, and I so desperately wanted to “be someone good” in Him.

I had so many role models through the years, people I thought were the ideal Christian. I found them to be imperfect, got shocked, tried to find some other perfect person, somewhere to be my role model. I tried to make church my family, because Mine wasn’t perfect. I learned the word of God, and found the more I applied it in my life, the more judgmental I became, of those who did not apply it, the way I did.

When I went to church all the time, I judged people who didn’t go. If they were having a hard time, I thought if they just went to church like I did, their lives would be better. When I tithed, people who had financial struggles, I thought you should tithe that would make your life better. I could see when someone else was a know-it-all, but I could not see I was that way myself.

I was so busy believing to become what God wanted, striving so hard to please God, trying so hard to become all He wanted me to be……………

I wish I could tell you God gave me a big “A” For effort, but he did not. Oh He loved me through it all, no doubt about that! God Is Patient and kind to me, no doubt about that either. Just, we don’t know HOW patient and kind he is, until we really get more revelation about how we really look, through his Eyes, and in the Mirror of his word …

and honestly? I don’t think anyone but The Holy Spirit can really teach us, what we need to know. Others can be examples to us……..They can share their own experiences with Jesus, and from them we can get clues…….

It’s God that has to show us……..Take this word (Of mine) Eat it, chew on it, and apply it TO YOU …….Allow me to CHANGE YOU ……….

Trust me when I say, His WORD will Humble you………(if you allow it) it will change you it will transform you………..When his love enters your Heart more and more…….

WOW ……When we see what a wretch we have been, THEN we can begin, again.

And you will know……but for the Grace of GodWhat a wretches we can be……….And then (and only Then) We can honestly say ………”I am throwing down my crown at your feet Father” …..for I know I never would have been anything, without you…….”

Time to preach GOOD NEWS and slay the giant of religion!

a bible poster 4 goliathRELIGION WANTSI was out driving today, pondering, praying, The Spirit of God rose up inside me and overwhelmed my heart how important it is to say this.

THE GOSPEL MEANS GOOD NEWS! First we realize, because of the Holy Spirit and his conviction, we do need a savior, that even if we have broken the tiniest of God’s laws, we are separated from him forever, without the Price Jesus Paid to redeem us. We then decide to receive that seed (of good news) Into our hearts, becoming born again.

Redeem: PAID IN FULL (for us) to be saved.

By the Spirit of God, we realized we are nothing without Him, and then we begin to learn about fruits of the spirit, dying to self, and we should understand that the Holy Spirit becomes our constant coach, companion, teacher, and friend, and so on……….

WE ARE OVERJOYED in our newly found Salvation! The Word of God becomes alive to us, because of the Holy Spirit. We begin to feed on the Milk of the Word, and begin to Grow.

-Then, sometimes, someone cuts in on us…….(Galatians 5)

Now, the Apostle Paul was very overjoyed about not only His own conversion, which to him was a treasure and a Joy, after he had left the doctrines of men (being a Pharisee) which was a doctrine of death and not life. It was based on the law.

My friends, we cannot preach both blessing and cursing (book of James) and believe we are preaching good news, all at the same time. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law. He went around doing good, healing people, saying no they are not permanently cursed because they sinned, or their Fathers sinned. All the curses were broken (on that tree!)

That means even the curse we are supposedly under for not giving 10% so …..we are actually given a higher law (which I do obey) to give out of our abundance, to provide for someone’s lack. Be led by the Spirit how you give, don’t muzzle the ox (the person who is treading out the corn to feed you) and God loves a cheerful giver, my new Testament says.

Now, the world is watching (and listening) and when you are found to be preaching out of both sides of your mouth, saying God blesses you, but he really curses you (Malachi) and other such none-sense, you are free to do so, but you are not preaching a full gospel (Good news) Message.

We’re fully redeemed or not ……BLESSED all the time because of Jesus, or not. Time to stop cursing yourself, and others, by the tongue, which can be an unruly evil…….

No Man can tame the tongue, but the Lord can cause “OUT OF YOUR BELLY” to flow LIVING WATER” …………and out of the abundance of your PROSPEROUS HEART because you CHOSE TO LOVE GOD”S WORD (all of it) …will the rivers of life flow……

This is the message, GROW into the man or woman of God you were intended to be. The Arguments coming against you from the world is not always persecution, sometimes you are going through a fire, as a result of the refining fire, which was caused by the UNTRUE message you are preaching. SO REPENT! Get on your knees…..plea for wisdom,

Grace ……and growing….Consider Galatians 3 as you pray for understanding………

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Amen. (Laura Grace)
