Walking through fire…..God’s not mean #3

HOLY SPIRITOkay Let’s clear this up! Father in the name of Jesus, give me the words, let it minister to hearts everywhere I pray in Jesus’ name! amen. WHAT IS FIRE? First of all God doesn’t cause it. Revelation 3 “I council you to buy gold (from the fire). Jesus said this to John, who wrote Revelation.

OH there is confusion out there about this, and what it means exactly. First, I thought we couldn’t buy the things of God?? Well you buy it with your decision (a purchase of sorts) and you buy it with a decision, to walk through the fire.  Fire is painful, scary, could kill you, dangerous! Therefore, you choose to walk through it, trusting God IN this fire.

The Fire is hardship, pain, unpleasant. Jesus endured fire. criticism, misunderstandings, accusing you falsely…….(and more) all of this is fire.

Because of God’s mercy, we are not consumed. He leads us into fire, he leads us out. People who refuse to allow God to do this saying “that can’t be God,” are not refined, become lukewarm, and they are like those who did not build with precious stones as described in the book of Matthew. They do not have “Faith like Gold.”

Often, Pentecostals are just certain no suffering should happen, GOD WANTS TO DELIVER YOU! They quickly quote, and say. True, God does want to deliver you (from evil.) Others believe God brought the suffering, (That he really ISN”T Good all the time) Still others say that we should just suffer (continually) and sing songs of Joy, as if we are never to expect anything better! (And these are all Christians!)

No wonder the rest are confused, think we are wacky, and run from as fast as we can.

“Christians speak with forked tongues’ they say! (And we do, sometimes). The truth is we choose to walk through suffering, most of the time, or we refuse to do it. When people take their own life, they are choosing not to. When people run from their critics, they are choosing not to (suffer). In My case yes, I finally did leave abuse AFTER I’d been refined in the fire of abuse. WHEN I left all was forgiven and I prayed for my abuser, and still do. The refining fire of THAT type was over with, and done.

So see, with the right attitude, God wins every time! You are either walking in fire, overcoming, getting commended by the Lord for it, obtaining something more precious than Gold (a refined faith) or you are being delivered (God gets the Glory) Or you are resting now in green pastures for awhile, (God still gets the Glory) and the people who seem to get away with running (from everything) and not facing it? They are messing themselves up super bad, because they are not prepared for anything.

These are the type that avoid every trial, refuse to be led (by the Holy spirit) into types of wilderness experiences (and things) that refine them,  which are also very uncomfortable, and they never learn God will NOT LET the fire consume or destroy them IF they trust Him.

And these are also the same types, who drain people, wear them out, want someone to do all their praying for them, refuse to learn anything new, and completely refuse to grow.

In the book of Acts, a ship crashed and fell to pieces because they would not listen to Paul. He said basically, “well I warned you but you wouldn’t listen.” They survived, but were ship wrecked. Paul went through a fire in all this as well. God never said he would CAUSE Paul’s suffering, He just told him it would happen.

His stand for Jesus came with a price. There was criticism, being jailed, being run out of town. In some cases he was beaten unfairly, all because he would not go with the program society decided was best.

Everyone sympathizes with those being tortured for their faith overseas somewhere, but hardly anyone cares if it’s a woman who is relentlessly persecuted by her husband, she is supposed to stay and take it, while we pray for those poor missionaries overseas. I have met people who are in the fire of refining every day of their lives, and nobody cares, because it does not fit in the neat little box of what we decided is Persecution.

Many suffer their lives being burned to the ground, their marriage goes up in flames, all because one would not bow to the idol of drugs, partying, criminal behavior, and the like.  They suffer silently, because often even the church does not recognize their plight…….

They are busy helping those with “REAL PROBLEMS” (so they say) and wonder why some of these don’t come to church anymore…….

But I am here to encourage, that all who are going through the fire willingly because God asked you to, He will preserve you, deliver you, get you out to the other side………

He did it for me, He will do it for you. With Love, Laura Grace, Author, Grace to the Rescue

Anger ……….It may be justified but it’s bad for us!

Anger (by Laura Grace) Well, Did you ever wonder why God said Be Angry, and Sin not? Actually he said through his Apostle, and He had a great reason for saying it.

And it wasn’t to immobilize us or make us feel stifled. It wasn’t because He thinks we never have a reason to be angry. Like All his Commands, It’s for OUR SAKE! satan under our feetSo then, I’ve been angry many times, and I will admit it. I know, it just does not seem very satisfying if we are hurt, injured, abused, bullied, stolen from, lied to, kicked around, slam-dunked, or ANY of that and have to just keep our mouth shut! Right?

It seems weak, Doesn’t it? To Just say oh Father forgive them. Anyone who has taken years of abuse (which never seems to end) can relate. Right? Here’s some Grace to the Rescue, just for you! I was lied to so many times I lost count, insulted further by people who say things off the cuff, and do not even TRY to understand the problem. Sometimes it still happens. Then after a real hard day ( or week) There is always that unsuspecting person who does one more thing, pushes us off the edge (so to speak) and we find ourselves fit to be tied! Ever Happened to you?

Now if you are leading some sheltered life, one where you keep yourself in some gated community of sorts (some people do isolate themselves from others) I am not talking to you. If you interact with people a lot however, bad things are bound to happen.

So what do you do when your stupid-o-meter has reached it’s limit? When one more person says one more thing, and you feel like you are going to yell, scream, explode, cry, and at that very moment you think “Why am I being so nice all the time? What good does it do me?” That’s when you have to remember some things my darling fellow companion…….

#1 stress kills you not them #2 The hell fire of anger, burning in your soul does not produce righteousness or help you make wise decisions #3 God saw what they did #4 God doesn’t mind if we vent to him and tell him all about it #5 IF you keep or hold onto your anger you are likely to hurt people you love, people who don’t deserve it, and in the end, be almost worse than the person you are mad at. That’s 5 good reasons to settle down and pray! Can you think of more?

One time, Long ago, I was so upset at the complete unfair horrifying stuff going on in my life, I allowed myself to get worked into a big tizzy. My daughter was young, I said
honey just go play” (trying to contain myself) but in the end I wound up yelling at her because she would not stop. I can still see her face, stricken with horror ……

Wondering what she did that I could be so angry…….

Yeah…..and that’s the reason we have to give it to Jesus, and not nurture and harbor anger in our hearts. IT HELPS US! I am just Sharing my own thoughts and personal revelation here, but 9 times out of 10 I think, anger is fueled by fear it will happen again……

So face the fear, pray, decided if it’s worth doing something about it, and pray to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. K? We do make a difference! With Love and blessings

Ephesians 4:25-27

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

God is not mean, #2- Acts of God? Really?

STORMS GATHERBefore we can truly BELIEVE for a miracle, we first have to believe God is good. Amen? So long as we are not sure if he wants to punish us or bless us, how can we believe for anything, with all of our hearts?

To believe God is good, we have to get rid of some misconceptions. Case in point, Acts of God. Insurance companies list certain happenings as “acts of God” such as crops that are destroyed by storms. John 10:10 clearly says (Words of Jesus) that our enemy, satan is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy, not God. Yes Jesus did say we’d have tribulation but, he never said he would send it.

When he said “woe to you” He was speaking to a people who had rejected him. How can a person expect the blessing of God when they are rejecting him personally?

When Jesus stood up and spoke to the storm, He commanded it “Peace be Still” and the winds and waves settled down. See, he knew there were believers on that boat!

There is so much evidence in our bible, that God is good, even in the Old Testament, for those who truly believed and trusted him for miracles.

A common thread with all of them is this, they believed God (for miracles) and they did not waver, stagger, or make any excuses to have unbelief. God does not take away free will. When the bible says “he hardened” the heart of Pharaoh, it means this: Signs and wonders will either cause an unwilling heart to be hardened, or softened, depending on free will.

It does not mean we are puppets. We all choose whether we will believe God is good, or not believe it. Trials really do “make or break” a person. Jesus would not tell us to resist the devil and he will flee (book of James) and then turn around and say well I sent this devil after you to teach you a lesson, refine you, or whatever else.

Believing and trusting God takes focus, determination, perseverance, Study, hard work, and even breaking off from people who refuse to believe with you sometimes. We do not get to choose HOW God will do the miracle. We don’t get to choose where it comes from, and we don’t get to decide what acts of obedience will be required. Jesus sent his disciples to fill empty jugs with water, and bring them by faith before he turned it to wine.

How scary that must have been (for the disciples!). What a risk they took they might look like fools before the master of that wedding feast! When we believe bad things, (such as storms) are sent by God, whether we mean to or not we have left a spiritual avenue open for the devil to come at us. We need to resist him. (book of James) if we expect him to flee.

We do not give up because something did not seem to work the first time. Stand firm means to stand firm (in the faith). Are we standing firm?

Father in the name of Jesus, I ask you to stack the deck against the devil and cause us right now by your Spirit to begin to SEE how good you are! I Pray for everyone reading this that you would give them revelation of you and cause them to see and believe for your goodness more and more. Help them to stand Father, and to believe for your goodness no matter what they see. In Jesus’ name we pray Amen. -Laura Grace

Be Filled, not drained!

CUP OF LIFEHi there! Laura Grace, Author, Christian, every day human being, serving God on planet Earth! There was a song we used to sing in church: “Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord,” I just loved that song, Sort of a prayer song, you know?

Anyway, so we are vessels, the bible says, and when we learn to hold water, (of the Word) Then we are a container to help refresh others (my bible says).

However, there are those who will drain us, refuse to learn to receive (themselves) or some who even try to contaminate the living water (of our soul) with corruption, bitterness, or whatever they seem to be carrying around. This is where ministry gets tricky.

There seems to be this outcry now days, one in which everyone is saying, “don’t make me feel bad about myself, don’t judge me, don’t hurt me with your words!”

I by no means wish to Hurt anyone, and any good minister I know, doesn’t wish to do that either. Oh sure, there are a few out there, who could care less who they slay with their tongue, but there also comes a time the truth must be said, and as the saying goes, “the truth hurts’ There is really no way around it.

Therefore, while I believe in being kind, gentle, loving, forgiving, and merciful…………

If someone is contaminating my well, (of salvation) or polluting my living water with their ways, opinions, bitterness, and relentless arguments……I have to cut them off.

If I allow myself to be polluted and contaminated with the rudiments and beliefs of this world, the Living Water God has given me to share with others, will be of no value to anyone. And this is why my darlings, while we hope to be open-minded (to a degree) we cannot afford to be door mats. Mercy understands Holiness, Holiness understands Love, Love understands Righteousness, all of the attributes of God are hinged together, and cannot be separated. God does not separate himself from himself! Love you ….

have a great day (in Jesus) Laura Grace (Author) Grace to the Rescue series.

FAITH IS………..a fish or….

This is my Journal FAITH IS .JPGThe one I am using now. I have several. In 1991 God spoke to me I would be writing books.

I had a type writer, but was so broke I could not afford to keep myself in ribbon, or paper. I was raising children, and had very little time.

I started to Journal. A friend used to send me journals for my birthday, or even Christmas.

I filled them with the prayers I prayed, and what God showed me in his word. I remember one study was about fat sheep and skinny sheep, and another passage about shepherds who do not take care of the flock. “WOE TO THEM” It said. I remember asking God why do you say this? I thought you were so full of love? Many Questions I asked the Lord back then, and certainly now! “Give me understanding” The psalmist says “that I may learn”

How can we understand God if we do not ask Him what he means? And why do we rely on others to tell us, when he sent his Spirit to teach us? (I wonder!!).

Back then I didn’t have a way to write a book, so I started to Journal. I was one of the last people I knew to ever own a computer, because I could not have one until God provided a way. I did not let any of this stop me, from moving forward.

Listen if I waited for the perfect circumstances, I never would have accomplished a thing. I would never have learned to write, and I wouldn’t have the now 25 years of experience in studying with the Holy Spirit, hearing from God, and learning what he wants to tell me.

HINDRANCES? I’ve had plenty! I always think of those loaves and fishes that Jesus blessed, and fed 5000 people. (What an example!!) What do you have in your hand right now? Maybe just a pen, and a journal? Maybe just some small thing, that you need to be faithful with, hold it up high, bless God and start moving!

AS JESUS took what was not enough, blessed it, and began to pass out the bread, (and fish) everyone got fed, and there was some left over. Do you see the lesson of faith, in this story? Or do you just see loaves and fishes? -I have several books now, a result of Faith and believing, perseverance and not backing down, all those years ago.

And hey, even Jesus needed some who would hang around, and believe with him! amen?

What I don’t want to be………

darknessThere are people

who’ve taught me…..about how to be free…………

People who’ve helped me, to hear and to see,

There are things I’ve done wrong, and been corrected by right,

And I’ve had a friend listen, in the darkness of night.

I’ve seen people whose example of patience, and love,

shines like the stars ….and the moon up above……..

But there is no example……so powerful to me…..

As the People who’ve shown me…….

What I DON”T want to be……..

HOW do we Escape Corruption? and falling away?

RAINBOW FLOWERS

Good Morning! you know, God spoke to me, Back in March 2016

About Corruption. If We are constantly exposed to the elements of

This world, WITHOUT The continual preserving power of God’s Spirit,

WE can become corrupt. Revelation 2 talks about a corrupt church.

Many know, (down deep) they should not be holding a grudge, or

hating anyone, but they do it anyway. God doesn’t hate anyone, but

Corrupt Christians are bad examples………

Let those who have become corrupt, bear the weight of their own shame!

They know better. (They really do). Hebrews 10 and Hebrews 16 talks about

This very thing: You know better!

God writes his laws on our hearts…….

Corruption happens when Christians refuse to let God change them,

or let the Kingdom of God be built within them……

and like Judas, THEY KNOW BETTER!

I counsel you, God counsels you, Jesus counsels you (and us)

Go for the Gold! Ask for refining! escape corruption!

God’s not mean #1 What’s standing between you and him?

Bright sayings #18

Hi, It’s me again, Laura Grace.

I was actually coloring in my adult color book when this came to me. I did pray today, asked The Lord to speak into my life. I have something to share with you right now, something very important. When God said “thou shalt have no other gods before me”

He didn’t just mean other gods, as in religious statues, or Zeus, or whoever. He also

meant your problem, your child, your spouse, your job……….Money Problems?

Anything taking over your mind can be an idol. So much for pointing fingers at drug

addicts, or whoever YOU think is in sin, right? Right! NOW (here’s  the good part) THE
REASON! God’s not mean! He doesn’t demand in a roll of thunder we have no other gods

because he is going to get so furious at us for not putting him first. The Jealousy he has is

a love type of jealousy, not the fleshly type we are used to seeing, or experiencing.

GET THIS: He just loves you so much, he doesn’t want these other things getting in your way so, he can’t really speak to you, can’t get across to you, what he wants to say. He cries

over it, weeps over it………..

Now, if you hate God, have sided with the devil and are shaking your fist at him, that’s another story! But if you are his child? HE JUST WANTS YOU TO GET IT! So badly he said,

No other gods…….no problem no nothing, don’t let it get between us, (he is saying) Because I really WANT YOU TO get MY WISDOM ……….Because I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Well thank you Father, Thank you love us SO much (THAT MUCH) That you would do anything for us to get it. Even sending your Son (Jesus) ……to spoil all those principalities

and powers……….Your anointed servant,

Laura Grace (Peace!)

I don’t believe in weak prayers……

throneI don’t believe in weak prayers……….

What I believe (and will always believe) is that the Holy Spirit SHOWS US how to pray. This, like everything else, has to be activated, and applied, in order for it to work.

When I am hit with a big problem I pray like this “Father, You said in your word, the Holy Spirit teaches us how to pray” and I ask God what he would like me to pray! This is based on the passage “If we ask according to his Will, he gives us what we ask.”

Many people take “the easy way” out on this and just pray for God’s will all the time. There are others who wear themselves out, beating on the doors of heaven for what they would like to see happen. Neither of these extremes is good.

The Holy Spirit will never give you a weak, apathetic, lifeless prayer.

HE will direct you pray things GOD IS going to answer! Then you can stand firmly in Faith and not waver (like Father Abraham) because you are believing for something the Lord promised to YOU Personally Via the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is your teacher, coach and counsellor, given to you by the Grace (undeserved favor) of God!

If you want to see more answered prayer….ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to pray!

I love you. I am called and chosen to write this. I write it to help and encourage you.

be blessed! Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (and after the wordless groans, He shows us how to pray, giving US the interpretation!).
