In the Nick of time……(testimony time!)

CLOCK.jpg

I hope this encourages someone today. Through the years of hearing many sermons, I remember a preacher saying once “if you prayed in faith it will happen” but if you start falling apart you’ll be embarassed, when God comes through! I remember another pastor saying “God’s paydays aren’t always on Friday.” He was talking about God being our “Paymaster”

When God asks or directs me to do something I believe he will provide for it. I entered school last year being led of God to do this. I applied for pell grants and I attend a school that gives a military discount (since I’m a veteran).

Everything was all in place, and i’ve been so thankful for how things have worked out and how God has provided in various ways to make up for the fact that I”m not working much such as 100.00 showing up in the mail just when I needed it or someone taking me to lunch or someone else gave me fruits and veggies…..Just a lot of neat things have happened!

I’ve had to believe for the time to do school and the mental stamina to stick to it through thick thin and turbulence.

God has given me the strength WHEN I have faith for it! Not whine for it but have FAITH for it “Thank you Father” You will help me get this done today” How do i know he will? I have read his promises and planted them in my heart!

Everything with God is by Faith in receiving a promise he made in his word. It’s a fight! So now today I found out an audit done with financial aide caused a “balance due” From last Fall! (about 260.00) what a not so nice shock! But guess what? Some loving people gave me 250.00 toward school amd it came ‘in the nick of time” ……

Just sharing! I’m glad I didn’t faint! I have said, “Thank you that you will provide” as I ride this rollar coaster ride! God is always on time! Just have Faith that he is with you! He loves you! And where God guides, he provides! if you find out you were in yourself and not guided by him he will still rescue you! Isn’t he good? YES HE Is! with love in my heart for you all…

When you’re taking a trip…..(A very important message about the road to heaven. )

TRip.jpg

We live in the knowledge age. Everyone wants to discuss what we should or should not be doing, and more importantly, what others should or should not be doing. Without a doubt it’s the most philisophical, debatable, and argumentive age we’ve ever seen.

When I’m taking a trip, i hope I will plan (how much it will cost) and is there air in my tires? Do I have all the necessities for my journey? What route will I take? Where am I going to stay along the way, and when I get there? We all know if we don’t plan, it’s likely we could end up by the side of the road, sleeping in the car (or something) and then there is the big question: “Why am I even taking this trip?”

Once we know that (and our passion for the trip is established) we might begin sharing with others what we are doing, where we are going, and why.

I’ve encountered so much advice along the way, and I know people are trying to be helpful. “Take water and tools” they may say “in case you break down.” “Pray first” Or maybe they’ll say “You can’t afford that trip.” (How do they know?) or maybe they will share their trip, what they did, and how it was a much better trip than you are taking!

It doesn’t matter, because if you only got one shot at your dream trip, would you let anyone take it from you? Would you let them waylay you, stop you, thwart you, or waste so much of your time you never even get there? I don’t think so!

Funny how we would take something like a “road trip” so seriously and not ponder where we are going for all eternity. (and who we will see when we get there!)

I”m sorry, I can’t allow you to take me off course! I have a dream about doing things God’s way, learning from Him, Following Him and having him say to me when I get there “Well done” “Enter in” “Glad to see you my son (daughter). He gave me the route, the plan, and he has helped me to count the cost. I don’t have time to argue about it or debate with you about whether my plan is good or bad (according to you). My Father from heaven has spoken, and I must be on my way.

Washing your brain is not brain washed It’s just smart! Here’s why. -Laura Grace

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.anointed for this
Many people worry, or seem to think, that Christians are just “brainwashed,” but that’s not true. We just understand the importance, of our brains being washed (in the Word) and the filth of this world, being washed away.
You may very well have given your heart (and life) To Jesus, but if we refuse to allow God to do the transformation (by the renewing of our mind) the bible states clearly, we will not truly know what the will of God is, for our lives.
If we don’t know what the will of God is, we are susceptible to all kinds of beliefs, thoughts, and the input of the evil one
Our mind (and our thinking) will take us places, we don’t want to go. Have we seen someone (including ourselves) make bad decisions? Someone can have a good heart, and good intentions, but if they refuse to take authority over their own mind, and replace carnal thinking with God thinking, their intentions will come to naught.
Transformation by the renewing of our mind, is not just learning scripture.
It’s a process of uprooting our own thoughts, other people’s thoughts, the devil’s thoughts, (and input) and replacing it with the life-giving seeds of God’s word.
If we were gardening we would not deliberately plant weeds, in our natural gardens. Why then, do we become so careless, in allowing weeds, (contrary thoughts to God’s word) In our hearts, and minds? It takes patience, and it is a lot of work!
This is why the bible says, to imitate those who through faith and patience, received God’s promise. We all want short cuts. Tell me, do gardens turn out well, when people try to take short cuts? What if they pray and never weed their garden? Will it be good? I think not.
A lot of the problems people have, as believers, has little to do with the devil’s direct influence, and everything to do with what’s been planted, in the garden of their mind.
As you go out to try and “save the world’ From not believing in Christ, don’t forget your own mind is a garden, that needs continual renewal, day by day.
Don’t leave the thinking up to your Pastor. Allow God to transform YOUR heart and mind, so that you can prove the (acceptable) and perfect will of God for your life.  We
have one life, one shot to live in Victory. Choose well. Choose life.
