A disciplined life…….

Leaders must be disciplined Titus 1:62. satan must be told to be quiet (Mark 1:33-343. Harsh words for fools and mules Prov 26:3 4. To have life you keep instruction Prov 10:17 5. Learn to love Discipline Prov 3:11 6. Instruction in God brings rest Psalm 94:12-137..Presumptious leaders bring death 1 Kings 1:5-6 8. Let God choose your habitation Duet 12:8-9 9. Holiness is the first step to a disciplined life in God Lev 20:26

Holiness is the first step (to a discplined life). This means to be set apart, unto him.

We won’t even be able to receive God’s instruction unless we have stepped away from the rest of the world, and its’ way of thinking. Let God rule over your heart (Be Holy!).

And don’t be presumptuous………(an idea that is not known for certain)

It is dangerous to be in presumption. We must learn to seek God about how his word applies to our lives, and the lives of others. We must be careful to not PRESUME what a person should be doing right now. Jesus came to release people from being justifed in keeping laws, because he knew we need to be RESTORED into the Christ-Like person he intended us to be.

“Father please, help and allow us to lead a disciplined life, one that glorifes you Father! Thank you that while we are not saved by rules and regulations, We do need to have a disciplined life to have success, and you want so much for us to have this discipline that makes uf more effective for your Kingdom! So we thank you for your discipline today!

You are such a good Father …” In Jesus’ name. amen

Being Real & Giving God the Reigns

I like the saying “Be Real” but it’s not always what it’s cracked up to be! Is it? If you are real with the wrong people, watch out! And you don’t always know who you can be real with, and who you cannot be real with. And by the way WHAT IS REAL? 😮😃

Say, now that’s a good question (isn’t it?) What is real to you? What is real to you, may not be real to me! What is real to me, may not be real to you! God is real to me.

Not because of someone telling me about him, because I’ve experienced him! How do I know that? Because too many things happened in answer to prayer that could not be explained any other way. The odds were “Against’ me” so many times (and I prayed) and God took care of me, provided, and it couldn’t be “Just luck” because nobody is that lucky! Did things go my way?

NOPE! Did I always like my situation (no, again) were things just hunky dory all the time? NO!! Here’s the thing, I asked him to provide he does. Now sometimes he gave me what I wanted, and sometimes he didn’t. sometimes I had to eat beans when I wanted some macaroni. other times i had to wear clothes i did not pick for myself. (but, beggars can’t be choosers!)

It’s hard to explain to people there is a time to be content, a time to pray for wisdom, a time to believe for God’s BEST and a time to let it all go and pray for someone else instead. There is a time to love your enemy and a time to be silent or let them go. There is a time to “overcome evil with good” and a time to “resist the devil” (even if it’s in a person) and he has to flee.

There are times for this and times for that. Times to be sad and grieve, times to say wow I’m really frustrated and have your friend just hug you.

it’s called WALKING by The Spirit! the disciples followed Jesus so do we! we get up and say “Holy Spirit “LEAD ON” and he does! (Lead us, I mean). How do you explain that to anyone? WE just KNOW it’s him because “things work out” and we don’t know how! (as we are not in charge here, GOD IS) WHy? Because we GAVE HIM THE REIGNS! I”ve seen lots of people say they gave God the reigns but they didn’t. I have said I did and didn’t! when you do you KNOW because stuff starts to happen that could only be God!! so GIVE HIM THE REIGNS on that thing you can’t fix, change or do anything about! He can keep you! He can help you! don’t try to control everything! Let it go and go do something else! YOU gave it to him. Trust me he never forgets a thing (I’ve seen this time and time again!)

PS “Give God the Reigns” on how real you should be too. Not everyone can handle it. 😉

Forgiveness & The “I love you” Project….

I LOVE YOU PROJECT The other day, (a week ago to be exact) I was having a really hard struggle. I didn’t know why, I just knew I was upset over just about everything. From A psychology view point it kind of looked like PTSD. From a spiritual view point, it appeared I was just touchy, or having anger issues.

Because I am a preacher of seeking God and growing, I didn’t diagnose myself. I sat down and said “Father what is wrong with me?”

When I asked, I really expected an answer. God spoke to my heart.

“You are in danger of being in offense, you need to forgive some people,” (He said).

Not only that, he said a spirit of offense was trying to take me, he impressed on my soul. I was baffled. “Okay so what do you want me to do, Father?”

This passage in Proverbs 18:19 came to my heart as well.

“A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a castle.”

My Impression was, if I didn’t do what God said, He wouldn’t be able to lead me. So I complied and said, “Okay, what, and who, Father, for I do not know (who or what?)”. From there he led me to about 25 people and events, and I said them out loud and verbally forgave them (or the incidents) Sitting in my chair.

I also prayed it would be forgotten, and I would remember it no more. I released them all and I prayed to be clear of any offense, that would keep me from moving forward, with God, as well. I made myself accountable to one other person.

Mark 11:25 says if we do not forgive, God does not forgive us. I have always wondered about that passage of scripture. What? You mean you take back the forgiveness you gave me Father? Nope. It’s more like this: Deliberate sin blocks out God. Ever feel like you are stuck? Stuck in fear, stuck in anger, or in my case “STUCK” in unforgivness. AND I didn’t even realize it! No wonder we need God. (every single day of our lives) and we need to seek him (first) and walk by His Spirit in Jesus’ name! He keeps us from stumbling or being stuck, but he is the Leader!

SO Follow the Leader! (His Spirit) and you will do well. 1 John 1:7 (see the word IF)

After this he led me to buy cards that say I LOVE YOU! (I will be sending them out to people as he has directed.) Stay Tuned for the results of this directive!
