Is the Gospel always good news? It is but not to all…..and here’s why……..

HAPPY SADI know we’ve all heard the saying “How beautiful are the feet of those, who bring good news.” (Isaiah 52:7) And even Jesus himself quoted Isaiah, letting everyone know he was the fullfillment of Isaiah’s prophecies, about a coming saviour, bringing Good News.

To many of the Chief Priests and Pharisees, this was not good news. I was reading this morning how they yelled and screamed for him to be crucified. “He said he’s the Son of God” they said “Crucify Him!” (John 19:6). To the disciples who were told “Ye of Little Faith” by Jesus- (while in training) perhaps it didn’t always “Feel like” good news to them, either. Man always has an answer HE thinks is best, and God always has an answer.

When the two do not agree, worlds collide.

We need to be aware of our choices, and what answer we are going to give creedence to.  I want to remember that those who stopped following Jesus, did not get anymore answers, or correction from God. He doesn’t throw his pearls out-for those who tend to trample on them. An idol is something that we give more creedence to than God and that CAN BE our circumstance, or problem sometimes.

IN other words what is bigger to me? God, or my problem (the giant) I am facing? Jesus followers ask these hard questions. Those who don’t do not, and blame God for every single outcome (good or bad). So then, the gospel is always “Good News” but not to some.

We (sometimes) try to bend it, twist it or even water it down to make it more palatable, but that is not wise. Oh Sure, God knows our hearts (I just wanted them to get it Lord!)

But, we don’t need to “adjust” God’s word so that it “feels more” Like good news to those who won’t listen. We Don’t have to make it into Good News, It already is. The Good news is God is speaking (and has spoken) the question is: Are we listening to Him? Or something else? Incline your ear (toward him) Proverbs 2. If you care to…..

with love and prayers and blessing to you all

Child like Faith (Don’t lose it!)

ask believe.jpg

Here is what I will tell you for today: Always Walk by the Spirit beware of doctrines of men. Let the Holy Spirit Guide you in all things.

Don’t allow the enemy to get you to put God in a box In other words “Limit him” on what he can or can’t do.

John 21:25 “There are so many other things Jesus did. If they were all written down, each of them, one by one, I can’t imagine a world big enough to hold such a library of books” (MSG)

The bible says if all the miracles Jesus did were written down- there would not be enough books to contain it all.

When we limit God and make him smaller than he is in our own mind because of our own understanding of scripture (OR someone else’s we have learned) We do limit the miracles he can do in our life. We really cannot get around words such as “let it be done to you” according to your Faith.

It’s sad when the doctrines of men limit God- and then cause disasters that God gets the blame for.

Remember sometimes jealousy can be a motivating factor in how we get advised (by others) and they are often not even aware of this. A sort of “you can’t have what I didn’t have” mentality.

“Father forgive them! Truly they know not what they do.” amen

We can grow and still maintain child-like faith.

Disciple, or Follower? and Arguing with God …………

Jesus and me

I remember when I went from Follower To Disciple. How about you? A disciple learns from Jesus (Directly) and then Prophets, teachers, pastors and others enhance or solidify this experience. This is how it should be.

Nobody can “make” a christian like you make a mud pie or a clay animal. You can try, but without the Holy Spirit Breathing the life of God into a person, they’ll still be just as dead. (inside). And worse yet, when the bible is used to create a monster called a pharisee, well, that’s another story too. I tend to avoid the monsters of pharisee-ism, and I dodge them (Just as my Jesus did!).

Back to my story: I didn’t start learning FROM Jesus until I stopped arguing with him! Listen, how can God talk to you when you are busy arguing? I’ve read books that say “How to hear from God’ and even well, unconfessed sin seperates you (so they say) but listen, if He is my righteousness and paid it all, HOW CAN THAT BE?

This double-talk has got to stop (law vs grace!) I came to the place where I said Father Jesus either redeemed or he didn’t! If He did then I’m Free (to hear from you) because you don’t see “SIN” when you look at me you see Jesus! Because he paid it all! (at the cross) and BROKE EVERY CURSE! I don’t need to go to some seminar to get free. Now maybe some do, and they get free, but only because their faith limited them to- “I have to get to that seminar, then I will be or get free.”

I am talking to the people who can’t afford that big seminar (somewhere in Texas, or wherever it may be). To become a disciple, your heart just needs to shift from FOLLOWER to LEARNER. Now you are following AND learning (take my yoke upon you, Jesus said). “LEARN OF ME” (He said) “the holy Spirit will teach you” (he said!)

So, I took him at his word. (Crazy me!) Disciples Eventually become Apostles, Prophets, teachers (and the rest) if they keep on going (IN HIM!). I may go to a seminary or not but who Makes me (what I am) Is HIM (Plain and simple).

Just laugh with me as I say this: “GOD cannot get through to you when you are busy arguing! Sometimes I get that feeling he is saying “are you done?” 🙂

Followers follow so long as the blessing is flowing…….

Disciples understand that someday they are going to do great things, like he did. Followers are more likely to fall away……

As your friend I am here to tell you, God is not going to just “finish the work in you” all by himself. He needs your cooperation! I have lost track of how many times he has said…..”are you done now?” …..”ready for me to speak?” ……..

HMM …..With love and somber blessings,

How to survive the storm….and the great falling away……by Laura Grace

STORMS GATHERStorms. They are coming. And they happen. We wish they wouldn’t, we pray they don’t, however, they do happen. Mankind has always picked up on the idea that “ANGER” and the fury of mankind, is just like a storm.  I didn’t think up the idea, neither did you!

I’m going to be crystal clear, here. We fall if the house is built on sand. Sand is not something rock solid, or concrete. It shifts, when the storms come (in the natural and spiritually speaking.) So your beliefs, if they are based on emotional “FEEL GOOD” stuff, is like sand.

I was once so liberal, that I believed every person who was a drug addict, criminal, or whatever else, must have become that way because of their past environment. Some ridiculous person who DID NOT HAVE TRUTH wrote books I read, telling me I could not have discernment, God only issues it to certain “SPECIAL PEOPLE”.

Therefore, I thought I was doomed to a life of being half blind, having to be led by the hand by some minister, who may or may not be available, when I really need them. I wrote books because My heart is YOU GET IN THERE and YOU CAN HEAR FROM GOD! I have no personal agenda, no deal such as “you have to buy my book” to get this or, you have to hear from me, or you have to partner with me to stay blessed. I know for a fact whether I like what is coming or NOT in this world, I am ready. I know My life is not built on sand anymore. I cherish my friends, but I don’t need them to survive.

I know this sounds terrible but, we do need to know we’d make it, with or without our crutches props and sand castles. Go ahead, have fun and build a sand castle, but I would not stake my life on it holding you in God’s peace. YES I believe in the word of God. I do. But helping someone who needs help and not asking for Wisdom First (from GOD) Is just that, not wisdom! Assuming, presuming, thinking we KNOW what God meant instead of investigating and seeking him? Also, not wise. Generic ideals of what Christianity is? Not Wise also! I Hope I have given you enough clues to help…….

God does not wish for us to be ignorant, assuming, duped all the time, deceived and half-buried, or running around like chickens with our heads cut off! We assume we know who we should vote for, ram that down everyone’s throat instead of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, URGING EACH OTHER To build on the ROCK of his WORD! If you want to build sand castles, stick your head in the sand, and not get rock solid about anything because “it’s too much work” or you can’t be bothered, God will let you do that too. Scary isn’t it?

Responsibility comes to mind. Personal Responsibility between us and God, that we should not neglect, so Great a Salvation! And our Salvation is ongoing, not just a one time thing of going to the altar and giving your heart to Jesus. so This is what you do, stop praying for THINGS and pray for Revelation. Stop asking for Comfy Cozy, and ask God to tell you the hard truth (which you need to know for your own life personally)

Do it today! Don’t delay! And a good preacher of the gospel will preach this very thing to you, not some other agenda. If you don’t have one, find one! Exhort each other daily!

(to continue to Grow) I’ll be gone for awhile so, I encourage you to press on! With Love!

Laura Grace, Author, Grace to the Rescue, Grace to Grow, Grace to soar. Oh Book of Matthew, “GREAT WAS THE FALL” Of the house built on sand- (feelings, emotions, not concrete truth or revelation from God!)  Sand shifts, is unstable, Can’t stand the test.
