christians are not condemned……..

Grace to grow study guide #2 JPG

“All of us know deep down, what is loving actions and what is not love. Did you know this? Of course you did. This is why often people will say; “I got more love” in the bar, or the bowling alley, than I did at church. People know when they are accepted or not accepted, and we pretty much know when someone is putting us down, don’t we?

Many of us struggle with the difference between guilt and conviction, or God’s correction and condemnation. Conviction is the nagging indicator in our conscience, which says what we are doing is not up to God’s standards. Condemnation on the other hand, is a continual feeling of shame, and contains unbelief. With condemnation we fear we have run out of chances, and that like a building about to be torn down, there is no hope.”

Grace to the Rescue……..for us all

Grace to the rescue cover0002.jpg

Update on My book projects: I wish I had not touted Grace to the Rescue so much as a book about my deliverance from a bad marriage. In 1978 my current husband (Tim) told me someday when the world had chewed me up and spit me out he would be there. And by the Grace of God, he was.

Today as I was praying I really felt the Lord saying to me the book is more about God’s preserving power of me and my children THROUGH This messed up abusive marraige married to a corrupt man. (for 16 years no less!) In the times we are in People Need to know God’s preserving power and his ability to seperate us unto him despite being “married’ It seems to some very harsh leadership and extenuating circumstances.

I praise God I was told to stay put (by my leadership) not because they were right that I could never be free, but if not for them; i would not have learned how to go through the fire with God and teach my children to love God, while at the same time having a spouse who was leaning toward ungodly all the time.

I would not have learned as a woman- I am still able to take a stand for Christ with HIM as the head of my household. God’s power and promises overrides whatever man says.

The more I look at the condition of our country right now the more I see “married to wicked” all over again. My story will be used as a beacon of the Lord for Hope and I have no doubt of this at all. I may have to write a part two (to this story) in order to Get across how exactly the Lord kept me from revenge, falling apart, joining my spouse his sins and countless other temptations that come with being married to a corrupt person.

I remind you the bible does say: corrupt men and evil imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. I’m a veteran of the Lord and his is going to use me to bring hope, healing, growth and development to the body of Christ who are “My people” because all of us are his people. God be with you. Please pray for me.

My secret to staying positive ……..

every day visionaryHi! Father In the name of Jesus, someone needs encouragement out there and I pray you would encourage them! In Jesus’ name! I thought I’d share a few thoughts as to how I stay positive about the future today. Ready?

  1. I focus on what I do have, not what I do not have (most of the time) for instance: Coffee, my dog being happy to see me, the birds are singing, the sun is shining, etc and so on.
  2. I pray and ask God to encourage me when I need encouragement. (Ask and you shall receive, right?) And guess what? He does!
  3. I surrender my future into God’s hands when I am feeling fearful or am dismayed. I both remind myself, and let others remind me: “God is good”.
  4. I refuse to listen to any input that says God is not good. In fact; I resist those thoughts and refuse to believe them.
  5. When I look at scripture I look at it with a heart believing; God is good. If the passage sounds like he is not good, I ask him to help me see it through his eyes. I ask him to adjust my thinking by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
  6. I do take the time to rest, sleep, rejuvenate my mind and think happy thoughts. Whether it’s a great memory or a current event; I do participate in the process of thinking what is pure, lovely and good report. I do not use this as an excuse to dodge the truth, but when I learn of a bad or scary truth; I immediately begin to ask God for his higher truth, which means he has the answer, he has faith about it, and he wants to get me through this whatever it may be.
  7. Just as I did again yesterday, I always remind myself, “Nothing is impossible” to those who believe. One of my favorite passages of scripture.
  8. I remind myself that nothing shocks the Lord or takes him off guard.
  9. One of the most important: I do allow myself to vent and/or be real about the situation. I do not (most of the time) try to impress God with my great faith. He knows when I’m afraid hurting or almost sunk. I tell him the truth about it, but I also deliberately give him permission to change my mind about things.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you today for the opportunity to grow in you, more and more. Help us Father to sow good seeds first into our own hearts and then into the hearts of others. Help us to be good soil, good farmers and to be very pleasing to you Father God. In Jesus’ name I pray we will remember this one thing: “In all our getting, we would never fail to get understanding, wisdom, and the knowledge of you.” For this is the primary mission we have dear Father; to come to know you, and for you to know us.”

What we Sow: Life or Corruption?

broken chains

Sowing to the flesh reaps corruption. Just as sowing good seed grows good crops, so does sowing “the weeds” of the thoughts and thinking of this world does grow, and produce corruption. While we may be under Grace and not law, we do well to remember that we do reap what we sow. Even nature teaches us this. People who do not even know God walk in this principle all the time. Heroes, Famous people, Athletes, and all kinds of successful people tap into the sowing and reaping principle by leading disciplined lives.

What God calls evil is to simply not allow his word or his blessing and influence into our hearts and minds. We who do so are making a very wise decision. Let’s press on! And if you sometimes wonder why you are doing it; Here is a little reminder. To stop and arrest the process of corruption is good enough reason for me. -Laura Grace

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:8

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

It turns out for good…..

RVB de base

The way it turns out for our good all this evil going on is this: It creates an atmosphere to hunger and thirst for rightesousness.

So then; even what is evil God turns out for HIS good! -LG (Romans 8)

Father right now in the name of Jesus: I PRAY everyone who reads this would have a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

In Jesus’ name! Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteoussness, for they shall be filled.”

He endured Betrayal, suffering and pain……

Luke 6:11 “They were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.” This was after Jesus entered the Synagogue and healed a man on the Sabbath.

Jesus asked the pointed question: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil?” An interesting question.

See, they just sat around looking to find fault with him all the time. “Look, I think he’s about to break the law!”

From the day he announced he was the son of God -many were out to prove he wasn’t. Such was the life of Our Jesus.

He endured rejection, false accusations, betrayal:

And went to the cross anyway. ‪#‎myJesus    Laura Grace

What are you Sowing?

SEEDS!!!!.jpgSEEDS PIC

Hello! I was just thinking about seeds the other day. Thoughts we think; things we say; and how we often do not stop and think about what we are sowing.

There’s been times I have not sown such positive seeds and in the future; was not very happy with myself because I was careless. Other times I did sow very good seeds and when I saw the plant, tree and fruit of that spring up; I really rejoiced!

There is a lot of work that goes into farming. Plowing the soil; all the rocks have to be removed and us (hard heads at times) need some rocks of bad thinking plucked right out of our head! I have a friend that said she liked a post I recently made and I thought I would repeat what I said.

Here’s an example of seeds. Someone said as a child (to me) I should never wear white shoes until after labor day. It was a belief based on the fact after fall things get muddy; white shoes were not so practical to wear. It was probably a smart standard but later it turned into a rule and people were saying; “You should not” wear white shoes after labor day. One day some smart young girl had the guts to say; “WHY?” It’s a perfectly nice day and I like my white shoes! And tradition was broken that day by a new concept.

Whoever was passing along this “rule’ never stopped to think maybe someone only owned one pair of shoes (white) or perhaps that pair was their favorite pair that made them feel blessed when they wore them. What did it hurt to wear white shoes after labor day? Was anyone truly harmed by the infraction of the rule breaking?

In our society; everyone has quibbled over things from women wearing dresses (or not) to what is the proper way to wear their hair. Women of all people have been subject to more rules than you can shake a stick at throughout history; and some young gal always comes along and says; “Why?” In the same way, Christians I believe sometimes need to stop and pray and ask themselves why they do the things they do. Is this helpful? Does it really make someone more free to love God; or does it hinder them from enjoying his blessing?

We need to stop and think about the things we say and stop and think about how even a vote for a certain rule or new law may affect someone else. God sees the whole picture and he sees how what we do will either liberate (or harm) others. He sees all that may be hurt by this thought, this rule, this law that we think will be so wonderful.

Sometimes we forget that Jesus called some fishermen and said “come, follow me” and they chose whether to follow or not. Jesus did not make laws that everyone would bow to him or his ways, he preached freedom to choose (life or death.) As Christians we do well to remember how Jesus really was; He was a seed planter, and a seed water-er as well.

He went about doing good and many followed him. Other wanted to kill him, get rid of him and shut him up! Why? Because they were the ones who wanted everyone to bow to them and their ways. They could not stand that Jesus and his words of life was inspiring such freely- given loyalty. In their jealousy, they wanted to crush him and make him bow.

They tried to find a law he must have broken in order to have a reason to kill him. Now tell me: what did Jesus really preach? More laws; or did he preach freedom? Even though he did know the best way for mankind and did know what was best for us; I do not see where he ever went out and tried to get man to make more laws and enforce them.

Jesus was a preacher of freedom (to choose) Wasn’t he? One of the first seeds he planted in my mind was: “I came to make you free.”

What taking the name of the Lord in Vain Actually IS by Laura Grace

Galatians 2:21 Says: Not to set aside the Grace of God. If you believe righteousness is attained by keeping the Law, Christ died in Vain. So if we take his name (Christian) and we believe keeping the law makes us righteous: we are taking the name of the Lord “in Vain” (do you see now?)

We talk about Grace and amazing Grace and so many act like they know what it all means: but the truth is: acting like we can earn something God paid such a high price for (the death of his beloved and innocent son!) is a real smack in God’s face. So if you want to repent and turn away from your sins: turn away from being self righteous and holier than thou and actually turn to Christ; the one who died for you-and follow him! -Laura GraceCOURAGEOUS

Is any body listening? Transforming is building!

LIGHT HOUSE

Building Your house on the Rock is the same thing as being transformed by the renewing of your mind. You know I was born in this Old Hospital, some nuns had a vision and prayed and the money was raised (back in the day) and the hospital was built. I’m sure they praised God at the time; many benefited from this Hospital through the years.

When a new facility was needed and built; the place was turned into a Condo. Now that building is enjoyed and lived in by many residents there. Many things were taken out of the building and new things were put IN during the transformation process. The building is very beautiful indeed. When our old way of thinking isn’t working for us anymore it’s time to find out some new things (from the Lord).

It doesn’t mean we are unholy, not sentimental or that we disrespect the things of the past we just need “new thoughts” to help us with what is needed right now. The foundation remains the same; the basic structure is there but please don’t be afraid to let God teach you new things. You may find he just wants to beautify you even more (and make you more useful in his Kingdom). amen -Laura Grace author Grace to Grow and Grace to Grow Study guide (soon to be published!!) stay tuned!
