Often people ask themselves this, “Why should I?” show love or be honest, kind, or just? “Nobody else is” they say to themselves. Why should I do the right thing? 

To be called to do the right thing when others seem to always be doing the wrong thing is a very high calling. To become and example to others is a privilege. “Tit for Tat” is not all that. Getting even is unfullfilling. It makes you just like the person you were mad at, or angry with. Forgivness is liberating. IT”S A BLESSING! Trust me. Trust God! “LET IT GO”…….

Yes, I’ve seen some injustice that would make your hair curl (AND stand on end.) I’ve cried about it, lost days of my life being upset about it: NONE of which changed a thing about it! If I go and try to get even I’ll be unfullfiled, just as sad as I was before AND I’ll become like those who hurt me. Not a good outcome. 

 

Pray with me:

“Father I trust you to make things right! You are the God of Justice and you care about this more than I do! You see everything! I have decided to give all this injustice to you right now Father and trust you for the outcome! Help me forgive those who have trespassed against me, or hurt me or ……

Whatever they have done Father you saw it. I TRUST YOU. if Justice is you finally show them your everlasting love and kindness for them SO BE IT. I will rejoice in their salvation. I will hold no grudges ……..

Oh Father, Help me be like you! This (we) pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

When the Lord is your Husband and he is First #1 (Exodus 20:3)

Is God really first in your life? The first one you run to? The first one you listen to?
God had a lot to say in the Old Testemant about “other lovers” which meant: Others that people beleived in Over Himself. God said something pretty stern in Isaiah 57:13:
“When you cry out, Let your collectionof idols deliver you. But the wind will carry them all away, A breath will take them. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, And shall inherit My holy mountain.” “Thou Shalt have no other gods before me……..” What does it mean? 
God wants to be like our husband. #1, Uno. Forsaking all others (because of him, and his importance to us). Thus we have the passage in John 1:12 (I like the KJV) as it says “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”
 He’s our Shepherd. He’s our husband as well, and he doesn’t take kindly to us trusting in others more than we trust in him. Convicting? Yes, it certainly is.
He’s not “on our case” he is trying to help us. He wants us to be able to resist the devil, and cast down the accuser (of the brethren) but cannot do it unless we do it GOD”S WAY. He set things up that way! (and he’s not going to change it because it makes you uncomfortable, either). 
“repent” (means) to turn away from all others you have trusted in, besides Him. When we come through the fire, it means all that we have trusted in (that is not of him) has been consumed. He’s a consuming fire, and wants to burn up the (fleshly) ways we have BECAUSE there is no other way to become (his sons) who are like him in how he thinks, how he walks, how he talks, and what HE believes in.
We can’t defeat the devil when we are unsurrendered to God (James 4:7) And submission does not mean “Okay Father I guess you want me sick, poor or defeated” It means “I submit Father, to handling my entire life YOUR way!” My entire life “I give to you Father” (My husband, my friend) for you are worthy to be trusted with it all! 
Now “If there is any way in me” that seems unrighteous to you Father Deal with me!! correct me! chastize me!” (amen) I give my heart soul mind and body to you Father in Jesus’ name (amen)!
Now …..Now you are ready to resist (the enemy of your souls) however God says to do it! Worship! Praise! Rebuke the devil! anoint someone! Maybe God will have you say to a total unbeliever “God is healing me!!!” (in the face of their unbelief) There are no formula’s…...(only Jesus)

Relationships #5 Control (Part 2). The Behavior Police
 
They’re out there. “The behavior Police.” You just got saved or you decided to renew your relationship with Jesus, he’s loving on you, and you’re all on fire for him. You’re in love with him! You have returned to your first love. I am happy to report I am in love with my saviour again (Jesus) and I have no intention of letting anyone rip me from his arms, ever again.
 
There was a time (I well remember) when I was not ready for the stuff that happened in church. I thought it was always a safe place, a happy place, full of people who love Jesus.
 
Not always so. (Not always). sometimes there are people in there who just GO to the building and don’t KNOW Jesus (see 1 John) and on FB there are people like that also. they think they know him, but they don’t. If they DID they would not get in the face of one in love with Jesus with their pointy little finger, scolding you, telling you how you better SHAPE UP and do things right!
 
We don’t need to be scolded by those who are NOT our parents. One household runs different from another. It’s the same with God’s people. God has a plan for EACH Person and unless YOU Heard from the Holy Spirit you don’t Know God’s plan for Them!
 
Maybe they aren’t called to make the cookies for the funeral dinner. Maybe God led them to lead someone to Christ last Sunday instead of going to church. Maybe they are tired and God told them to rest. They belong to Jesus! (Not to you!).
 
What did Jesus say to Peter “Feed my lambs” HIS Lambs not YOUR lambs….!! Hmm…and they know HiS Voice! and should be encouraged that they know his voice! Not told to sit and be still in your little military school! 😐
 
We are not in a man-made religious army here. We are grafted in by Faith, receiving from the life giving vine (Jesus). Have you ever looked how a plant operates? Dead stuff is pinched off and new life streams into the new leaves that are growing. 🌱🌳
 
Soon the plant blossoms as it stretches toward the sun. All it needs is water, light, good soil to grow in, and everything must be attached to the vine. We don’t walk up to plants and “Scold them” into submission! We should look for ways to encourage others to stay in the vine and keep on growing (IN Christ Jesus).
 
I want so share a large segment of Galatians. It’s worth reading again and again. A reminder to stand firm in the Faith that first brought you to Jesus (and not be dismayed by the Behavior Police). Laura Grace

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth,[a] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
 
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”[d] 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
 
The Law Brings a Curse
 
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”
 
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

As a rule, God’s love and Mercy is Greater than his desire to Judge us

As a rule, you don’t eat temple grain, but if you’re hungry Jesus is fine with it.

As a rule, men should not look like women, but it’s not the biggest thing on God’s mind.

As a rule, women should not count on outward things for their beauty, but Jesus is not going to leave you out of his Kingdom over wearing a barrette in your hair.

As a rule, we should rest one day a week but if we need to work on Sunday, or get the car out of the ditch, Jesus is not going to scold us for doing that.

As a rule-we should not be pro-divorce. If everyone’s life is in danger, and that person is dragging your soul to hell, God would rather you get free to serve him, than stay and be destroyed.

As a rule, men should lead their families and be a Priest of their home. If they aren’t God is not going to reject a woman willing to step up to the plate.

As a rule, God doesn’t want us killing each other. If you had to do it- to stop a madman he understands.

As a rule- God loves everyone, but he favors his children who come to him.

As a rule, God’s blessing falls on the just and unjust, but faith causes more blessing to come your way.

As a rule, people need to come to Jesus for Salvation. But he sometimes goes and finds them, without anyone’s help. As a rule- he uses preachers, but he can and does do great things without them.

As a rule-

God’s love and Mercy is always greater than his desire to judge and obliterate sin.

The only reason God hates sin is he loves us and he knows it causes us harm.

He’s just patiently waiting for us to figure it out.

As a rule….God is very slow to be angry (with us) 

Joel 2:13
So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Me, Mom, daughter mom-me-and-carolee

me sexy 2013.jpg  me, Laura Grace  WHAT ARE DISCIPLES? Do we really know? 

I want you to think with me a moment, about the early disciples. You know, the ones Jesus called, to follow him around for awhile? “Come, follow me” He said. They did, and he spoke many things to them.

These words were planted in their hearts (as he spoke to them) and they received it, as the good seed that it was. Except Judas. He did not receive. 

Then, the incorruptible seed and words of Life Jesus spoke (to them) Went into the soil of their hearts, sprang up, and the Holy Spirit had something to work with! The Holy Spirit is our teacher (this is for Christians to learn.) 

I want you to think about Jesus’ example for a moment. When someone called him good, he said nobody is Good but God the Father. When they called him teacher he said, “don’t call me that.” He was setting an example for the disciples. And us. 

He didn’t want them to think they were too important to wash someone’s dirty feet, scrub a dirty floor, or prepare a meal like the one he made them after his resurrection. 

These men, who wrote these glorious words which, the Holy Spirit preserved for us, to the point where billions of copies have sold, all over the world, were just men. They were not super heroes, not magic genies, and certainly not anyone the world would have made into idols. Fishermen, a tax collector, a former killer of Christians, and so on, and so forth, and so on. The books Paul, John, Peter, James, and others wrote, are now called Epistles. Letters to the church. Let me repeat that, Letters to the church! 

Not letters to the unsaved! Not letters to the unbelievers. Letters to the Church. 

Please do not expect the world to see what we are saying. They won’t. They are not supposed to! Not Until God opens their eyes to see, as they receive him.

And for what reason? Because we have more to learn, than just one scripture. They hung out with Jesus for years!

They went with him, did what he did, followed his example, were eager to learn. And what happened? They taught, they did miracles, and they wrote. Where were their church services held? In the streets, in the houses, wherever they went.  I know I’m a disciple! I have no doubt in my mind! I have been following after the Holy Spirit for years now, and I wrote! And whenever I can I give my books away (for free). 

If you ever want one or need one let me know, I will find a way. For you see, those words are my living Epistles, revelations, of what God has etched into my heart, and what he has spoken to me, to share with his people, the church.

Tainted words. What IS unconditional love? By Laura Grace

I can tell you what it means to me. Maybe it’s not what it means to you? Let’s see!

It doesn’t mean I am always likeable. Or that I am always right! God loves me enough to tell me the truth, even if it hurts. He has to, he cannot separate himself from himself, so love is God’s truth (even when it doesn’t line up with my own thinking!) And it’s kind, patient, covers us, suffers long with our faults, hardly notices we do something wrong, yet rejoices in what we do right (and cheers us on!)

God’s love is so perfect, it’s hard to take it when humans mess with us. Even those who do not know God, know what love is, and what it isn’t. (They really do, deep down!).

Often people, even friends, can tell us what they view as “The truth” and it’s tainted with humanity, and becomes hard to receive or swallow. “HOW DARE THEY” We think, How do I know this? (You may ask). Humans need God’s help to truly be Helpful! Human wisdom is not usually that helpful. Why? Its empty, vain, “Philosophy.”

This is why so much that is meant to help, does not help that much! God knows what we need. You’d be amazed at what he’s used to heal me, bless me, revive me! Nothing I ever read about in any magazine or book! GOD IS SMART! He knows what you need and how to Love you! (Ask him!, It’s true!!).

I”ve been hurt by tainted words, and yes, I’ve dished it out sometimes, as well. Yes, I have. And I Know it.  And God dealt with me when I did!! (Thank Goodness!).

Love does not lie to us. Love is not about feelings. But we need to be humble enough to Go before God constantly and say “Is my truth your truth?” Help me Father not to speak if I am full of bologna! If My words are hurtful- KEEP MY BIG MOUTH SHUT!”

FEELINGS are like the signs and wonders that follow those who believe. If we are truly loved, the good feelings will FOLLOW! After we’ve received correction, tears happen, we are sorrowful for what we have done, even repentant! The tainted twisted love of this world puts feelings FIRST. Nobody gets anywhere when feelings are #1 in the scenario.

Feelings without Truth, without some real clear input (and understanding) Is a dangerous thing. It leads to all kinds of things, dangerous things. So no, love it not a feeling, but, when I am in love I have good feelings too!

Many choose not to do the hard work that is required to have good relationships, with God, with friends, with spouses, or with others. “YOU DON”T LOVE ME” They cry (if someone does not agree with them, all the time!) So how do we learn to love well? (Like God does?)

FIRST we have to understand his love, for if we do not, we will continue to pass out this “tainted love” that we learned from others, who were not as informed as they said they were!

God IS love so, that means every word he said IS LOVE! WOW! so if His Love does not approve of what we are doing, why is that? We need to find out and learn WHY his love is saying,  “that’s not good for you!!” ……His love is also Wisdom so, perhaps by bumbling along doing things “OUR WAY” will eventually lead to “WOW God loves me! Maybe I should get in on this WISDOM! He did say he would give that to me!!

tainted love is clouded with human understanding, reasoning, opinions of every kind…..

HELP US FATHER To see how much you love us, come to our senses, and ask you for help! You LONG TO HELP US! Amen! and help us Father, to let go of all this “tainted love” and receive it from you! Again! Help us Father also, to see some are not ready for good relationships yet. It’s a two way street, and if they won’t participate, we cannot do this alone! So Help us Father to let go of those types of relationships, and be wiling to embrace “what is” Instead of continually striving for “what isn’t” …..in Jesus’ name. And please Father, fill us with your love, Again and Again!

Amen!
