Are you a Pioneer? Or settler?

DIRT ROAD IN DENTONroad picture

Settlers Settle. Pioneers venture out. Which are you? you can be both, you know.

The bible talks about pressing on, going forward, striving toward what is ahead, but it also talks about God strengthening, settling, and establishing us. I believe walking with God involves both; times of settling times of pioneering, and going forth into new territory with Him. There is a commercial on TV that says “settlers settle” and of course its’ about someone settling for less than what they “could have.”

I don’t want to do this. I believe we are born to win, born to master, born to overcome.

This old dirt road, a long time ago was just grass, then a rutted and hard-to-travel road. Someone paved the way by adding gravel, had a vision to make it easier (for cars to go upon) and later on, some even had a vision to pave it. That’s what I do when I write books, the hard won revelations I have received (and vision) of Growing, developing in Christ and soaring with him, I have established a road. I have not done it all by myself, God has anointed and appointed me to write on certain topics, others have done so as well.

We all have this vision of travelling the road (together) and hoping to make it less bumpy, less difficult, and easier for all of us (each other) to find our way HOME which is living in the Kingdom of God while we live upon this earth. We are strangers to this world, we are one with one another in God’s kingdom. Don’t settle for less than knowing Jesus fully, he wants you to have it all! He wants to eat with you, travel with you, laugh with you, cry with you and be your very bestest friend. #I love you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit for making the road easier to find, for all of us. In Jesus’ name we pray. amen

Wake up Church!

wake up 2.jpgWake-Up

Some are awake, some are still sleeping. And some are sleep walking!

In Ephesians 5 it says “Awake, oh sleeper, and Christ will shine on you!”

Everyone says they want to be a light (Usually) but do we really want to be

awake? Some want to just go through the motions, routines are comfortable

like sleeping is comfortable. Some might even call it a comfortable rut…….

I had an experience this morning that reminded me of being awake and yet

being among sleep walkers all at the same time.

Sometimes we are so focused on “what did I do wrong?” We hardly see what

we did not do that was right! Like, Waking up! Shaking causes WAKING!

So while we don’t like to be “shaken awake” sometimes it needs to happen!

amen? -Laura Grace

Do you feel ready to handle anything? (that comes your way?)

My personal dealings with Atheists on a mission

I know how to fight spiritual battles and I know how to win. I know how to cast out demons, I know how to resist the devil, and I’ve seen him flee.

But nothing can prepare you for the day you run into one of these die hard atheists bent on the total destruction of your faith. Christian, you had better be ready. They will say you are living a fairy tale. They will tell you how the bible conflicts with itself and doesn’t add up. They will baffle you with facts and give you evidence you never even knew was there. If your belief in Jesus is built on sand at all, the storm of their lies will find you. The ones I dealt with were shrewd and pretended to be interested in what you had to say, long enough to gather information.

Once they have gathered the necessary information on what you believe (and why) they will often feign curiosity and ask a question, appearing to be interested in what you have to say. Every encounter is designed to gather more information from you, and then anything you have said can and will be used against you in the court of accusations later on.

For instance if you say, “I don’t know” the answer to that question, later they will say something like: “You said yourself you didn’t know, so how do you know what I am saying is not the truth?”

They will back you into a corner. When it’s all said and done, you had better have a testimony to overcome with, because if you don’t, there’s a good chance you might fall under the weight of the flood of intellectual logic coming at you full force.

I know my bible well, and when a logical and seemingly intelligent atheist came along and I began to argue with them; I soon found myself buried under so much confusion, I could scarcely find my way out. Now; I won’t say there isn’t a devil, because the devil does help these sorts of people at times.

The stance they believe will draw them in. Evil spirits are drawn to a place of lies and unbelief, as much as the Spirit of God is drawn to a person sold out to Jesus Christ and his ways. You may very well cast a demon out, see results, and be all encouraged by this, but I can tell you right now, the person who wants to be corrupt will always become infiltrated with demonic help once again.

So why did I say an updated version? Because, only the Spirit of God can teach you what the bible means to that you can honestly stand up for God’s word. Without the Spirit of God you won’t be able to do it. Without the Holy Spirit’s help, you personally will not understand the meaning of the scriptures before you. If that happens, and you are cornered by one of these persons, you may feel overwhelmed or even sunk.

Learning to receive from God is more important than learning self-defense in the natural. It could mean life or death for your soul. The truth is however, most people will not seek a self-defense class until something almost happens to them, or actually does happen to them. The close call or even being a victim of a violent crime is what often propels people to seek help so it never happens again. This was the case with me, and this is what brought me into a spiritual crisis, which then led to prayers I would grow.

So what about you? Are you sure you would make it, with or without church gatherings?

Will your faith In God stand solid, come hell or high water? If you would like some help, I have some books out there, sharing what God has given me.

Knowing God: Drawn like a magnet

FATHER MAgneT.jpgGod wants to know us! You know? And I know what you might be thinking too; He already does (doesn’t he?) Why do you suppose the devils of hell “Knew’ Who Paul was? Because of his intimacy with God, the Lord (and the devil) Knew who he was! This word “KNOW” is not the same thing as knowing about someone. It’s a word about intimacy and a close relationship with God our Father in heaven. I can know all about my spouse; yet not really know him. (Isn’t that true?) I can know where he works and what chair he sits in every night; his favorite foods and his favorite hang outs; but there are things (hopefully) your spouse or even best friend knows about you that nobody else does. The cultivation of this type of relationship is what I am talking about here;

You can hold the scepter of God and even be an instrument of Faith and his power; but if you know him (and he knows you) that is the kind of person the devil is afraid when you step out of bed in the morning! What is he (or she) going to do next (he wonders).

And guess what? We’re not telling until the time has come!

Father I ask you today in Jesus’ name; Be like a magnet to me and draw me close to you I pray! Let good things and good friends and good company be drawn to me like a magnet draws the steel. Let open doors, opportunity and every good thing of you be drawn toward my life right now! I am believing you For Good things Father and I truly do want to know you today better than I have ever known you before! IN Jesus’ name! amen

Manifestations

Manifestations
First of all; I want to remind you the things of God are simple; easy and not hard. He never meant for religious people to come along and make things complicated.
One of the reasons Jesus was so adamant about standing up to the Pharisees, is that their complicated ways scared people, intimidated people, and made them afraid to enter into his Kingdom.
When Jesus began to do miracles; who do you think manifested?
Think about this for a moment.
Here is Jesus; the way, the truth, and full of light. In speaking God’s words with power; we know he was a light who was even a greater light than John the Baptist; who went before him.
Not only demons manifested and fled at his presence; but other things manifested as well.
When Jesus was seen by the disciples walking on the water during a storm; they feared he was a ghost. Fears manifested. When the religious leaders saw everyone following him; jealousy and all kinds of selfish ambitions, pride hatred and a determination to get rid of him, also manifested as a result of his presence.
Everyone gets excited about the passage which says the sons of God will be manifested; but we really don’t like to see what else pokes out when God and his light are on the move.

Steeped in Tradition. by Laura Grace

TEA BAGS.jpg

This morning God was speaking to my heart and I want to share this with you. Then I’m putting it in my book “Grace to grow” study guide which I trust will be done soon and then published and released to you all. He was talking to me about being steeped in Tradition. He (Jesus) answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? Matthew 15

I want to share that many of us are steeped in tradition from the time we are young. Most of you are whether you realize it or not. Some to more of a degree than others; but traditions are part of our society, upbringing and it’s all around us. We are taught in school to honor certain traditions. It happens in the work place. I happens all around us. Putting up a tree is a tradition; SO are anniversary celebrations and putting our hands over our heart when the flag flies. Churches have traditions. Families have them. Society. It’s everywhere.

So let’s look at the word steeped for a minute: When a tea bag is soaked (steeped) the water turns brown and the tea and the water become one.
Jesus wants us to be one with him and God the Father but we are “steeped” in so many things it’s no minor task for him to get us out of that. So you see? We aren’t going to get out of this tradition problem by just name it and claim it. Not by marching around proclaiming we have changed. Not by praying a prayer (or two or three) or just reading a good book about overcoming. The transformation God wants to do will come from within (by his Spirit) and move outward until his rivers of life flush your soul clean. When he’s done you won’t be bound by traditions anymore. You can’t mentally just decide you are going to go from point A to Point B: God has to take you there by his Spirit.

I think we really need to see how impossible it is to be like Him in order to see what a miracle it is when we become like him. It really is a job he does from the inside out. “Out of your belly” he said shall flow rivers of living water. But you have to receive that by faith and aim for it; strive for it; Insist on it even. I would say CHOOSE that over Tradition. What your mom did, your dad did, your church, your friends or even your town and co workers: Doesn’t matter if God says let it go then LET IT GO! I’m going to be really daring and say even what your spouse thinks is not so important as what God is saying to you about a matter.

IF you are steeped: face it admit it then make plans with God to quit it. Loving people is one thing: Steeped in tradition is another. And I want you to remember something: what Jesus said back then was a seed. He expected that seed to spring up and produce other offshoots of this revelation the same way a tree branches out. We should never limit God to just the words printed on the pages of our bibles. God did not use the word seed for no reason. He wanted us to think about what seeds do. They come up out of the ground and the plant or tree “branches out” gets taller; Is no longer just a side but a living growing being. So should you be. And purity is simply this: becoming un-steeped and unpolluted by the traditions of this world. You can be that way and still enjoy a Christmas party.

Or a birthday party. However you are “at” the part not “of it”. Get it? Think in terms of inside to outside. Water from God flowing up through your Spirit “flushing out” all that is not of him. Washing it away. Down the drain. Let it go.
Question: Do you see some areas where you are steeped in tradition? Write them down. Let God know you want it flushed out. That you want to be more like him and become all He intended you to be.
