day 3
Matthew 13:8 Good soil is a heart at rest. A heart at rest does not strive, therefore a heart at rest (good soil) receives from me, as it is not worrying, striving or clamoring for answers.
Become all you can be (in Jesus). by His Spirit!
day 3
Matthew 13:8 Good soil is a heart at rest. A heart at rest does not strive, therefore a heart at rest (good soil) receives from me, as it is not worrying, striving or clamoring for answers.
Yesterday I was led (by the Holy Spirit) To attend a certain church, and I did follow his leading. My bible says His sheep (go in and out) and find pasture. We are led by the Holy Spirit, who is in agreement with God the Father, and Jesus the Son.
Words were spoken over me, and I want to highlight a particular Word that I was to be still, listen, get a journal and write down what God wants to say to me. “You’ve been talking so much” the Spirit said, that God can hardly get a word in edgewise!” (WHOA!!) ……..
This morning God spoke Matthew 16 to my heart, and He also elaborated on it for me. The teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees, while seeming to Honor God’s Word, actually hindered people from running their race, in Christ. This is why Jesus was so concerned that his disciples “beware” of these teachings. Teachings that teach to scrutinize, analyze, and be overly concerned about sin, methods of doing things, whether how you are doing it is right or wrong, all of this cuts in on us, and keeps us from walking in the Spirit, running our race, and even learning from the Holy Spirit. See? While I was focusing so hard on whether what I am doing is right or wrong; I was praying too much, talking too much, worrying too much, and all because, I wanted so desperately to get things right!
God surprised me by giving me a Word of correction I did not quite expect. Are we trusting Him to teach us today? (By His Spirit?) Or are we trusting in the doctrines of men?

The year was 2002. God had just led me to walk out of a 16 year marital union that was nothing God ever intended for my life. Yes I agreed to be married to this man. I did. I made a vow and eventually broke it (as sin) but the vow was never a bright idea in the first place.
Did you know breaking vows is a sin? Making them without praying about it is a sin as well. We are sinners, before we come to Christ, and we made messes of our lives. It was either cut of my arm or be dragged to hell with him, so I left. And God said I could.
The bus pulled into the small town in MT, and I got off the bus and stayed at a local motel. After a few days, I moved to a motel with a better weekly deal, and spent most of my time in that room praying and seeking God.
I really was looking for work and asking Him where I should work, and it kept coming to me over and over I should work at this motel I was staying in. Based on that inkling, I inquired about working there, and they didn’t need anyone.
When my unemployment was almost gone, I had a friend tell me I should leave this town, a praying friend, I might add, one I looked up to who was a leader in church at one time.
I left, and not long after, the manager of that motel walked off the job. Someone else took over, I was gone to Washington State and then to a bigger city in MT. My address changed, I travelled around and worked, but I had sent a letter to the owners of the motel asking if they ever had an opening to contact me. This was all because of that inkling I had I should work there. In 2004, we were settled and had purchased a mobile home, I was with Tim by this time. (My current husband of 14 years) and we got a call, I really have no idea how they found me, but it was the owners of the motel. They offered us a management job.
We prayed, told them if our mobile home did not sell in 30 days, we could not come or take the job. They were willing to wait. Thirty days later, at the exact time we said (to the Lord) we will not go unless the mobile sells at this time, on this day……we were sitting on the courthouse steps counting the cash for the exact price we had asked and stuck to.
With my son Thomas in tow we walked into a job we had never done, in a town we did not know very well, in the beginning of summer with it full, and going full steam. We were given about 2-3 hours of instructions, and there we were, running a motel.
I remember my husband saying “what if we fail?” “what if they fire us?” What will we do then?” See, I had an indicator in my heart, 2 years before this job happened, of what God wanted to do. And, He did it! When we took this job, it was intensely scary, but exciting all at the same time. Whenever I think of Miracles, I think about this (and many other times) I just had to GO and do what God was asking. But here’s the thing, he did provide (before we went) because when he wants to do something, it will happen, even chase you down if you give up on it. This is what I believe, we receive by faith What God says He will do for us and then, He does it! In His time. -From the stories of Grace to the Rescue, by Laura Grace

When I was married to a drug addict who lied all the time, convinced me to believe things were going to be different, only to do the same things over and over, trust me when I say, it was hard sometimes to not become bitter, or even cynical.
Loving a guy on the street who is homeless, praying for him, and all that, is great, (and showing love) but a person who has never been married to a con artist, continual liar, or one who continues to resist God (all the time, at every turn) has truly no idea what that type of life is like.
We read stories of Pioneers, how women were raped, taken captive, and about men who beat their wives back then and bragged about it. We are horrified, yet we cannot truly imagine it. Now, we have a nation afraid, because for those who understand the tyranny of religion that endorses female mutilation, child-brides, or actually killing people who do not bow to their religion, well they are truly frightened indeed.
The children of Israel, long ago, became bitter over what they suffered and had to be healed of it. I believe bitterness sets in when we have believed wrongly that God will fix everything in our lives and make all our dreams come true, and then when it doesn’t happen, we have the choice to accept that suffering disappointment is part of our Journey or, we can dwell on the disappointment and eventually become bitter.
Many fell away from Jesus when they realized he was not coming to rule Rome at that time, or overthrow the wickedness in the government once and for all. Jesus is not going to rule and reign until it’s time. Now, He is willing to rule and reign over YOU if you’ll allow it (and give you much Joy.) Listen, here’s the thing. When someone is embracing the spirit of anti-Christ, that is to say, rejecting God’s way of doing things, not wanting God’s council, not wanting the Spirit of God’s input, not wanting wisdom,
and wanting nothing to do with Jesus’s “advice” If you will, and then they gather supporters to rally with them for THEIR CAUSE and not the cause of Christ, what do you think will happen? You will be outnumbered. When this happens, we have to pray for a way of escape. The sooner we realize God really will build us a hiding place, IN HIM, the better off we will be. The spirit of anti-Christ has always been at work, just for some, it has not been at their door until now. We need to grow and mature in Christ, to the point we can stand up to these things and not be shaken by it.
A mature Christian realizes no matter how many devils you cast out, there will always be more. They realize the ROCK Of revelation (to us personally) is what our house needs to be built on, and they realize the very pearls and gems of God’s wisdom needs to become real to them. These are the precious stones we build with, if we want to remain secure and unshaken. It’s a heart thing. Make up your mind to get the word of God deep in your heart today and let it become such a part of you, that you will not be shaken. And by the way, God did preserve and Protect me and my faith in Him during some extremely turbulent times. And He can do it for you as well.

I am a spiritual Pioneer, and my journey started a very long time ago. A long time ago I was a Lutheran, and I attended Lutheran church, then Church camp.
I grieved over what growing up meant in that situation, because it meant we no longer looked at the miracles of Jesus with awe and wonder, and the colorful pictures of Jesus walking on the sea, and the feeding of the 5000, and all the other things we talked about as kids in bible study, was replaced with liturgies, somber songs, and just plain boring. I became a Spiritual Pioneer, because when my spouse was addicted to drugs and drinking and my life was upside down instead of right side up, we were sent to secular counselling and it didn’t help.
I became a spiritual pioneer, because every time I went to church the words they were saying did not quite help me, or really fit the bill.
I’ve been to Baptist churches, Catholic, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, Presbyterian, Southern Baptist, Church of Christ, Church of this, church of that. They all do a great job of reminding me Jesus is Lord, but none have all the answers. When my kids were bullied and there was no bully policy in place (yet) Nobody knew what to say. Churches sent me to secular programs that couldn’t help, because for one reason or another, I always fell through the cracks. I was emotionally abused so “Help” was several years away on the secular program rosters. Housing for poverty stricken times was often elusive, food stamps cut off if the spouse will not attend the requirements, and so on.
Pat answers never worked for me. I could not afford to attend mega-conferences that are free so long as you can afford 300.00 for a motel and 100.00 for eating. I became a Spiritual Pioneer, because People were coming to me for answers, prayer and support because they heard I was a Christian, but I had no idea what to say to them. Often they would tell me they went to the pastor, he said he would pray but had no idea how to help their situation. Why? Because pastors and people who attend church all the time usually do not have situations fraught with drinking, drugging, criminal behavior, dysfunctional ways, abuse………………….
Nobody knew how to handle that stuff. I needed to get through a whole lot of stuff (bad stuff) that the word or the church did not truly know how to help me with…….because my situation never quite fit into the boxes that were already lovingly labeled and set out on the table for the master’s use………

Good Morning! As I was having my coffee this morning and praying, It occurred to me, how many of us just need the Lord’s help today. Don’t we? I could hear so many hearts out there just crying out, “Do I make a difference?” Or even “God do you really even care about my problem today?” Does Growing up mean “get over yourself?”
You know, the disciples asked a lot of questions (of the Lord) Off to the side, where it’s not even printed in our bibles. Every conversation they had IS NOT written down. It could not possibly be? Have you seen your bible? Do you think it really includes every conversation they had? I believe the most important ones are written down, but honesty in today’s world we need to know GOD IS THERE and HE DOES CARE! I love prophecy, but one word does not fit all, not even one solution (given in a sermon) addresses every problem.
So what do you really need from God today? He wants to help. He is not limited by church services, podcasts, no, not even limited to the books we write. He’s not hindered or limited by your mistakes, your past, or even your future. He does not say- “Sorry, I can’t help you, you’ve messed up too much and are not worthy of my intervention or help.”
When he said look at the lilies of the field, He was not saying “go naked!” He simply wants us to learn not to worry, how to cast our cares on Him, how to trust him about every little thing. For everything that matters to us, also matters to Him! So be brave, ask Him what you want help with today. He loves you! He loves you more than any man ever could. He loves you more than any parent ever could. If some religious nut that didn’t know Jesus very well beat you up, please don’t let that stop you from coming to Jesus. He is not like that, in fact he gave the religious meanies a beating in His Holy word to show you, he is not in agreement with that kind of mean fanatical and unholy junk! “HYPOCRITES” HE
said to them. “you heap burdens and don’t lift a finger to help them” (Jesus said) so ……we do know HE WANTS TO Help lift your burdens, He does care. Jesus is worthy of our Praises. And what I want to do is HELP promote a God whose love knows no limits…….
He just loves you. He wants to Help! -sincerely and with Love, Laura Grace
