The Lord is with you!

God sees greatness in you. He does. Sometimes we just need to make up our mind to follow our heart (since we know God’s spirit lives there) and trust He is with us. We (and I am speaking to Christians here, who have invited in The Spirit of the Living God) sometimes need to just say okay I prayed about this, I am going! Stop me if I’m wrong, Father!
Thank you Father that you go before us! Around us! on top of us! Thank you for being our rear guard! Thank you for causing us to walk in patience, and not in haste.. THANK YOU For all you do for us Father God! We do love you so! And all God’s people said, “AMEN.”

Isaiah 52:12
For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward.

Stuff we don’t want to talk about: Adultery of the Heart Matthew 5

Matthew 5. Jesus says a startling thing. Have you ever read it ?

First he says, if you looked at a woman with lust YOU ALREADY Committed Adultery. Then he starts talking about plucking your eye out of your head, to avoid hell! Wow.

But nobody wants to preach this stuff, so they like to get on people’s cases for what they consider to be “real adultery,” instead. Shutting people out of ministry because they’ve been divorced. Hiring ministers, who have lust problems they don’t even know about (see no evil, hear no evil?). Can we really go by what we see? I don’t think so.

This is the kind of stuff, people don’t want to talk about, or even consider. It stands to reason then, If you idolized something in your heart, (desired it more than God) You also committed idolatry. Do we jump now to the passage where they go to the lake of fire for Idolatry? Or Adultery?

Apparently sin was so bad in one church, Paul said, “and you have your Father’s wife” so some relatives were sleeping with each other, out of wedlock, and they didn’t even have the sense to be sorry about it. So Paul was on their case, and saying the church had better do something. However, I know this from reading my bible, Jesus did not send his word for all of us to go on a witch hunt. In the early years of our nation, people in Salem used to do just that, and justified burning some innocent people.

I don’t care if a million preachers preach something else, because I know what Jesus said. He said, if you lusted after a woman (ever) you committed adultery. For this reason, I cannot see, nor understand shutting people out of ministry because they got divorced. You don’t know what happened to them. I met a pastor (a man) who is one of the finest ministers I have ever met. Turns out, he was divorced. His wife cheated on him, he divorced her, but he had a really hard time getting a pastor job! Why?

Because, People love to apply the word of God to everyone but themselves, that’s why. Did we forget the bible calls God’s word a mirror? It was designed for you to look into it and find your own blemishes, in the light, that you cannot seem to see in the darkness.

Don’t talk me down when I’m preaching good. I know this is the truth.

I’m growing in grace (still) How about you? And, if you’ve messed up (like Paul) and God calls you to preach, DO IT! Don’t let the fear of man stop you!

With love,Laura Grace

Stuff we don’t want to talk about #3 Jealousy, deliverance from the cruel one

sad.jpgWe just want to love them, Don’t we? Don’t we all? WE can love from a distance, you know? We really can.

I was studying Proverbs one night as I did for many nights, reading it over and over again. (Proverbs 2 I mean). I don’t remember how many times I sat down with my bible and read it again, and again before finally the Holy Spirit prompted me to go forward and read more. I stopped at Proverbs 4 20:21 “my son”

Give attention to my words (he says again) “incline your ear to my sayings’. And then…..”let them not depart from your eyes “KEEP THEM’ in the midst of YOUR HEART’. vs 22 “For they are LIFE to all who find them and HEALTH to all their flesh”. “Father in the name of Jesus help me present this the way you want me to “from your heart to mine, from my heart to Others’. In Jesus’ name,

…..And Father I ask you “deliver us from the evil” of the cruel one…….Amen.

The cruel one………

I got to Proverbs 5 and it says again “MY SON’ Pay attention to my wisdom, lend your ear to understanding……….”that your lips may keep knowledge’. THEN Prov 5:3 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey……. . I thought, well that’s strange as Jesus is also “like honey” but this is a bad thing, a counterfeit really this immoral woman and I thought “who is she?”……. .and I kept praying….. …

Did God mean “Harlotry” in the natural? (I think not!) He talks about “spiritual adultery all through the OT”. So I”m realizing at this point, God is talking to ME and I am his son and he is not talking about prostitution but the adultery that grieves him all throught the OT and the new. 5:6 “Lest you ponder HER PATH of life…….. “…….Her path vs God’s path hmm……..” her ways are unstable, you do not know them”……. …(If you followed this “other” path you would need “her” (the other wisdom’s) continual guidance…. …)

Proverbs 5:7 “more intense’ “hear me now my children!!” (go, look it up!)

(God really has my attention now I am “ALL EARS”……he says “do not depart from the words of my mouth, Remove your way ‘far from her’…….( FROM WHOM? (I say) From WHOM Lord? (that’s what I asked him!). And then he says “Do not go near the door of “her house” (who Lord? who?)………(We’ re still in Proverbs 5), God has not said “Who (yet)’ so I keep reading….. …”Don’t give your years to the cruel one” he says……(and I think about the passage “Jealousy is as cruel as the grave”

So I ask the Lord “describe cruel” and he says (and of course God is not required to refer to websters he can define his own word) Cruel: “designed to trip you up, keep you down, make you feel “bad about yourself” and so on. Satan’s type of Jealousy is CRUEL this is a different kind than “God’s’ Jealousy. satan’s type of Jealousy is wanting to stop you prevent you from going forward where God’s is designed to keep you close to him and PROTECT you. Many do not know the difference between the two types of Jealousy, they get all mixed up.

HOW THE CRUEL ONE OPERATES (after God showed me what he said up above, he started giving the information to me “faster’…. .) so this is what he told me………. …

Again, satan’s type of jealousy is like “OH no” I am “losing you” and I am “ticked”. (ticked off, mad, in hot pursuit like you are his property). No rhyme or reason to it, no looking out for your best interests only “his own”. This type will try to draw you in with “words of honey” (supposed sweetness and light) showing up WHEN you seem to need it most. AND THEN will turn on you and begin to “tear you down” tell you how “bad you are’ (or were) “beat you over the head’ so you would never dare “leave again” (leave his teaching or council) Then he’ll say it’s “chastizement” using God’s own word to lie to you! “THEN” if you try to escape or get away he will tell you that you are being fanatical or religious!

Or, he will tell you to “DO” those things God hope you won’t do like Overspend, “Party” (because you deserve it) or have a “Pity fest”. He will tell you to have one (pity fest) and be in grief and so on leading you to think he ‘really cares”. This “cruel one’ will seem to give you lots of sympathy but it’s mixed with “put downs” “controlling” and will always encourage you NOT to seek God’s word on anything!

According to “the cruel one” you don’t have time for that, and God doesn’t care anyway. Once you start listening to him you are in danger. Danger Danger Danger. As you go farther and farther into darkness, the further you go into the dark forest, the less you can see. Then you will say or perhaps this enemy will say “doesn’t God order your steps?” Didn’t he just ‘lead you here?”

His goal, ultimately is to get you to turn on God (because he is Jealous OF HIM) and to say God is ‘not Good’ after all. As the devil has more scriptures than just the ones he “threw at Jesus’ in his bag of tricks (did you know that?) he doesn’t just use ‘those three’ He uses others! (many others) and so we need this mind of Christ and need to pray for that (Amen) and to Guard our heart with all diligence, to GUARD OUR HEART as if our very lives depended on it even if we have to do it with “a shot gun” that is God’s will for us. Defend your heart! Protect it! Cherish it! That is where “the Holy Spirit lives!!” …….(amen) ………… .Love and prayers! “Father in the name of Jesus, expose the cruel one! Expose him and LET THERE BE LIGHT! In Jesus’ name,  Amen!

A Harvest from the Lord……(His Promise to me)

“The Father says today, that the pouring out you have made to others is about to become a pouring in of My grace and recompense back to you. As you have seen people around you hurting and struggling, you longed to share your testimony. You knew that your testimony would make a difference because I am no respecter of persons. What I have done for you – you are well aware, I will do for others. Yet at times you found that the pearls of your testament of My faithfulness were cast before skeptical hearts that turned away and did not believe. Fret not. Your reward does not come because your words were received. Your reward comes because you had a heart for the needs of others and the courage to share who I am willing to be in their lives. “

“Keep pouring out. Give out of your heart those experiences and circumstances where I came through for you. Even those who don’t seem to hear will recall in their time of crises and will cash in on your testimony of My faithfulness.
They will cry out to Me and become as you are – one that knows the reality of who I AM and what I have done in the work of the cross for every shipwrecked life. Continue to walk in preparedness to speak. Be instant in season and out. Open your mouth even at times that it seems you are merely being brash. It isn’t men’s wisdom or knowledge that convinces. It is the witness of My Spirit. I will go with you in signs following and cause hardened hearts to be softened and lives changed because you made yourself available and chose to be obedient to My call.”

Stuff we don’t want to talk about #2 Tolerance, What does God say?

Actually, the book of Revelation is not that hard to understand. Is God tolerant?

It seems, He is. Check out what Jesus said to John: Rev 22:10

And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” NKJV

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”Revelation 22:14 NKJV

Now, let’s wrap this into current events, shall we? Eventually, in heaven, God says very clearly (not mincing words) who is allowed to live there, and who isn’t.

Idolaters. People who are liars, and who practice this, and other unrighteousness, which they intend to continue.  I sort of wonder, Is the plan to let man burn up the earth, so he can finally see he is not capable of being God? Puts a new light on Judgement, does it not?

He’s not the mean nasty God, you thought he was. He is tolerant. He will let you have your way.

“LET HIM BE..” Words of Jesus, not mine.

So the real question is; Are we supposed to bow down to these IDOLS of humanitarianism? Why did I call it that? Well if you didn’t seek God, and you’re trying to support something that is not his will (and give it all this attention, as being the most important thing) what is it, besides an Idol?

The question is not (so much) whether we have a Godly Government (or not) the question is:  What are we becoming?

Because honestly, If you are going to threaten everyone with hell all the time, You are not representing my Jesus.

But if you are making God out to be someone who will “let in” just anyone, you are TAKING Away from this book, and adding trouble to yourself by doing it. Read Revelation 22. Pray for understanding.

And where will it take us, in the end? And did you see this? The tree of life is restored, IN HEAVEN! We get another chance, because of Jesus! And now those who choose not to eat life (but love the ways of death) are on the outside, looking in. Forever.

So that’s what we (ought) to be most concerned with. What we are becoming. See?

Don’t allow the madness, to get you off track. Peace! -Laura Grace

“Keep yourselves from Idols” 1 John 5, What does it mean? (To us, today?) Walk with Me……see what I see…….

grace-to-grow-study-guide-for-nook

“Little Children, Keep yourselves from Idols.” 1 John 5:21

So what does it mean? Why is this in the New Testament? These are the types of questions I like to ask God (when I am studying with Him.) Oh Sure, I have looked up idol, and what it was in the Old Testament. I’ve also studied the sermons of others, and I know an idol can be “Whatever” you chase after, or deem to be more important than God. But beyond this, What does it mean, “Keep yourselves from Idols”, and why was that the writer’s last instruction, before the letter ended?

Idolatry and harlotry, almost always seem to go together (in the Old Testament). Harlotry was chasing after “Other lovers” as God called it. It’s fascinating that Harlotry begins with a spiritual decision, and not an earthy one. This is why Rahab could be sanctified, because while her job had been “Harlot” She was right in her heart with God, the day she helped Joshua and his spies.

Her Heart Set redeemed her, and God forgot her earthly sins, right then and there.

Verse 20 of this same chapter, says we were given understanding (From God) so we can know him. This letter was written to the church, and not to non-believers. John called them “Little Children.” Why was that? And how did he know he was a man (of God) and they were not? There were no seminaries in those days, so how did John know?

So for those of you who want to know, Who will be drawn to this teaching by the Spirit of the Living God, I will tell you. John knew Idolatry would lead to harlotry. God knows your “other lovers” (of this world) will keep you from Him, and he will not be able to protect you, or help you to know Him.

The story of Hosea is a beautiful picture of God’s love for his people. He had Hosea divorce, then re marry, a woman who was a blatant harlot. The result of her harlotry was, she wound up in chains, sold to the highest bidder.

The type of anger God has, is a loving anger (for, he is always love!).In our modern world, we have the Idol of worldly wisdom, or being sophisticated according to this world, or doing or saying what is popular, or what everyone else is chasing after.

A CAUSE can even become an idol, which leads to harlotry, and loving this world, (and the things of it)  more than God. Now, a wise person will ask for council (of the Holy Spirit) and ask for correction, from Him. Wisdom cries out (in the streets) and says, “Is anyone listening to Jesus, and the Spirit he sent, to teach us?”

The Very heart of God is found in Proverbs, and all through His Holy Word. His Heart is: That we should grow, learn of Him, Take his Yoke upon us, seek his Spirit for wisdom. WHY? Because he wants to restore us, heal us, make us whole. How can he do that when we won’t come to Him? Or Learn from Him? He cries when he lets people go, he suffered and died so he could save us………

So no, God is not a big child “MAD AT US” for daring to not listen…….

He just loves us (so much) and knows Idols and Harlotry keep us from receiving His best! (FOR US) Which he so desperately wants us to have.  God loves you! But, he does not like Idols. They lead to other lovers, that keep us from Him. And he knows the end of it will be disaster so. And that my friends is why he said: “Keep yourselves from Idols” Because it prevents us from receiving, from Him. With Love,

Set backs, PTSD, and being Liberal……

rescue-me

Good Morning! I have a lot on my heart this morning. I thought, “I will just write, and see what comes of this, “being real……” You know?

This morning, I had a lot to do, and I heard of this person (a young woman) who wanted to have a babysitter for a missions trip. As quick as lightning, it took me back to a problem I had, while Trying to serve on the Worship team at church.

I was about her age, and I was living for Jesus, full throttle. This meant I wasn’t having a lot of fun (in the natural) No drinking, no trips, fun was a rare commodity, and so was eating out. So worship team, now that was good, clean fun!

We had practice, were all in harmony, and I got up there to sing on a Sunday Morning. A family member had agreed to watch my children, during the service. To my horror, My kids went scattering around the church, and one was crawling under the pews. The Family member had gone to the restroom, told them to sit still. Well, they didn’t sit still.  Even More horrifying, when the pastor pointed at me and in front of the whole congregation said: “You need to go take care of your children.”

Not asking for sympathy here, but the story of this woman just “took me back,” and I found myself thinking okay, do I pray she has a better outcome? Well, of course I do!

I’ve been struggling lately, with people who seem to lack empathy. They give pat answers, tell me how they struggle too so that should make it all better. I miss the days of praying for each other, and it makes me sad when people Self-Righteously “DECIDE” what is a worthy prayer request, and what isn’t.

On being Liberal. I am liberal (and generous) with the benefits of God. I believe in Grace, Mercy, Healing, Forgiveness. I believe God is liberal (and generous) In all his ways. So really? I am a true liberal at heart!

But from what I’ve seen in politics, it often means, “lets give liberally to my agenda,” and have understanding about what I care about, and the rest of you can go to *$)#!”

That’s not liberal. That is just mean-spirited!

SO, PTSD is a new diagnosis, for trauma from the past erupts, and makes it difficult for us to make good choices (in a nutshell.) I think a lot of people have this, even on a minor scale. They have been hurt, just like I was that day on the worship team. I can never get that time in my life again, and I felt robbed of a chance to have some healthy fun. Now I have a choice don’t I (from all the trauma I”ve experienced?)

I can go out and make laws (to make sure I don’t get hurt, ever again) Or I can rally a big protest (because of my pain) Or…………..(OR) I can just ask God to heal me, and count it as Justice! I want restoration, more than I want compensation. A healed and restored life is the best Justice (and revenge!) Because truly then we know The enemy DID NOT WIN! God has healed me of a lot! I am aware each time he heals another area of my soul (He restores my SOUL Psalm 23 Amen?) But it’s a process, and not overnight.

Just pondering my choices today, and asking God for healing, deliverance, Restoration, and all great things from him! He is my God! He is my source! And he is my healer!

I have this feeling I will never regret this choice (Putting it all before him, and trusting him about the outcome!) Yep I’m 100 percent positive in My Faith, It’s a choice I will never regret. I have 30 years behind me, of Testimonies of God’s faithfulness & Love.

How about you?

The Road to Emotional Healing, is often a long, and very lonely road……….

long-road

The road to emotional healing…..if often a very long, and lonely road. Ask me, I know!

It’s nearly impossible to describe (the emotional pain) to someone, that hasn’t been broken. Furthermore, there are so many false cures out there, and what I call bandage fixes, to even convince someone they might need help- is a challenge all by itself.

Broken and hurting people must shield themselves from more (further) pain, or they know it will be the end of them. So they put walls up. I know, because I did this too.

There were times I knew, one more reckless comment, (about my pain) and I would be finished, forever. For a bruised and broken person, one reckless word, can be the final blow.

Sorry, but your anti-bully programs aren’t going to work. People need to be taught how to heal, how to love themselves, and how to insulate themselves from the pain. You can have all the bully programs you want to, but they are everywhere. Bosses. Store clerks. Everywhere you least expect them to be.

I’ve been on a quest for healing, (Of my soul) for as long as I can remember. Drinking didn’t do it. Shopping didn’t cure me. The right job was only a temporary fix for the pain. Jesus doesn’t do it over night. He will travel with you on this Journey but you have to finish the course, and even realize sometimes you will be re-injured.

OUR HEART (Soul) within us) is THE biggest Treasure, which Jesus was dying for, on that cross. And he wanted us whole. He wasn’t after bodies to go out and do his work, He was after our Heart(s). If we don’t allow him to heal us, no matter how long it takes, We have (pretty much) taken his name in Vain.

The Road is long. Some Healthy ways to heal are:

  1. Use a Journal. Write your goals and how you are doing each day.
  2. Pray daily for Soul Healing. God is the restorer of your soul.
  3. Recognize that most will not understand your Journey
  4. Many will not support your Journey, because they have never taken this road
  5. Remember, in the end you will be healed. Quick fixes lead to more setbacks.

Most of all, no matter how long it takes, do not give up on being restored, fully, to the person God intended you to be. It’s a long journey, but you are worth it.

Jesus thinks so, and who are we to disagree with him? With Love in my heart and big huge hugs to all the hurting people out there…….

I’m praying for you. -Laura Grace

Dark wisdom…..

There are only ever two choices: one, to do God’s Will and two, to lean upon the darkened “wisdom” that comes from one’s “own” understanding. The latter leads to failure, unhappiness, worry, anxiety, fear, humiliation, disgrace, shame, un-acceptance and disapproval; while the former leads to love, true happiness and contentment, satisfaction, peace, understanding, courage, strength, purity, righteousness, divine acceptance and divine approval.

….”Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight”…. Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB
