When Having Faith Hurts (And we don’t get the outcome we desired).

What do we do when having Faith hurts us? I’ve experienced the devestation of not having the outcome I believed I woud have (after believing, with all my heart, for something to happen.) What I see is, God honors my Faith, but my timing isn’t always the same as His.
I used to stand outside my door every single day (praying in the morning) believing for a bigger house. The house we lived in at the time was so small, it literally felt like you had to “go outside to change your mind.” Prospect House outside 2017.jpg
This house was 643 square feet (total) including the porch area, and when my kids came to visit, we didnt have room for everyone to sit around the table.
At Christmas time, we sat in a circle, as if we were in a tee-pee, and the coffee table became one of the chairs. It was a small, small, very small house, and we lived in it for several years. During that time, God taught me to be thankful, while having faith at the same time for “something more.”
Now, we live in a double wide mobile home, which is a blessed home to us, but probably “lost its’ value” according to the world. However, we love it, and consider it an answer to prayer! We had to adjust our faith to receive this house however, because it wasn’t exactly what we were believing for. There really is a balance between “not giving up on your faith” and staying surrendered at the same time.
God did honor our Faith, but he also had us make some adjustments in the process of having Faith. By his Spirit, he challenged our thinking. Isn’t that what a good Father should do?
This is our house now: garage

God is smarter than we are, and it’s not that we should just “give up on having faith” nor should we just say, “Whatever will be will be.” God commends (and honors) people who have faith. Do not shrink back! (Hebrews 10:39).

Hebrews 11:35 “Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.

3These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.”

Dodge the Stampede!

BUFFALOs.jpg

!

Stampeding (When someone “stampedes’ your blessing)

I just feel led to share this today. If you saw a herd of buffalo about to stampede the church building, you would shut the door, holler for Help……And keep them OUT would you not?

A stampede of fools is like a herd of buffalo. There are those who have this “gang mentality” and you cannot LOVE them out of it. You have to get out of the way. Shut the door! Keep them OUT Of your heart and your mind! Do not allow them to trample everything God has put inside your heart (as you open your heart to their treacherous doings!) ….

It’s okay in this case to stop TRYING to love, and just shut the door, get out of the way……Let them stampede on..

For those bent on foolishness there is no other way. Do you think you can stand in the face of a buffalo herd and keep it from Trompling you? No!

Then stop and think about what you are doing before you try to deal with these “stampeders” in the realm of the spirit! Get out of the way! They will not respond to your loving words (and not even to God’s words)

for right now…..you’ll just have to let them go..

a now word (Laura Grace) Author, Grace to the Rescue, Grace to Grow, Grace to Soar

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed. Prov 13:20

The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.Prov 3:35

The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness Prov 15:14

A prudent man conceals knowledge, But the heart of fools proclaims foolishness. Prov 12:23

Stuff we don’t want to talk about: “touching God’s anointed” and other false teachings, that are misapplied.

There was a teaching, about 20 or 25 years ago. I’m not sure where it came from, but it was about “Touching God’s anointed.” I personally heard the teaching, in church, but I did not ever study the passage it was based on, until years later.

King David, was to replace King Saul, in the Old Testament. Without sharing pages of bible scripture here, I will summarize, that Saul did a lot of bad things to David, prior to David becoming the new King, of Israel.

At one point, David’s own mean pleaded with him, just to get rid of Saul. Specifically, they wanted him to just kill him, as Saul was trying to kill him, so wasn’t it justified? At this point, David said he would not “touch God’s anointed.”

This teaching was never meant to negate the passage in Ephesians, where we are told to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather, expose them.

Saul was certainly exposed. It was known to all, what kind of man he had become. While he still retained his king status (for quite a while) and gave David a lot of grief in the process, even driving him almost to the brink of insanity, David would not kill him.

I just wanted to expose the fact, that there are some teachings (which were taught in church) through the years, that are not a true revelation from the Holy Spirit. There are also teachings, which were meant for just one person, and not for everyone in the group.  I do not go around teaching, that every child of God having marital problems, should get divorced.

Likewise, it should not be taught that someone should always submit to a bad leader (who is not following Jesus) Just because the bible says “submit to your leaders.”. We have to understand who is a true leader in Christ, and who isn’t. To teach a woman to go home and submit (to someone who is crazy, or abusive) is irresponsible as well.

Pat answers, such as “God hates divorce,” “Obey your leaders,” “Wives, submit to your husbands,” and even passages such as “Love bears all things,” are not the right word, for the right time, for some people, at that time. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us to properly apply a scripture at the right time, to the right person, and for the right reasons.  I hear these passages a lot, but not “slaves obey your masters,” which is also in the bible. Why is that, I wonder? I do know the answer.

It was advisable, (at one time) When slavery was still in effect, for them to submit to or obey their masters. If they did not, things might not go well for them. When It came time for the slaves to go free (and many fought to the death for this freedom) The passage no longer applied, as it was time for “The captives to be set free.”

It’s not touching God’s anointed, to expose lies, or things that are not true. When a wife, child, or spouse, exposes something evil (going on in their home) they may just be obeying the word of God, found in Ephesians.

Ephesians 5:11

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them

Demolishing Strongholds, without being a bull in a china closet!

bull

It’s not what we are doing, so much, as the way we do it, that gets us in trouble.

You can stand up for Jesus, without being a bull in a china closet!

You know, a few years ago, I was working for this place, and had told my boss I am a Christian, and a prayer warrior, and I told her I was praying for her to prosper, and her business too.

She said, “That’s fine, but just so you know, I had someone like that one time, who asked if she could pray (for my business) and I found her and her friends in a circle, at 9 in the morning, praying out loud in the office.” She continued saying, I believe, but some of my customers don’t believe, and frankly, she was not doing a good thing, I told her to stop!”

So I went in early each day, prayed for her business (and for her) when nobody was around. I anointed things with oil, and me and the Lord made a lot of declarations over that place.

And guess what? ALOT OF supernatural stuff happened! It did! One prayer  I told her about was answered, 2 years later…….

1 Peter 2:12 talks about honorable conduct. 2 Timothy 2:25 talks about humility, and how we go about things. 1 Peter 2:20 talks about how if we are beaten (for our faults) It’s not really commendable.

Ecclesiastes talks about not being overly righteous, and ruining ourselves.

So then, we have Kim Davis, the famous icon, stander-upper for Jesus! In case you didn’t know, she refused to issue marriage licenses, and was commended by many, yet she was also thrown into jail, for a time.

I saw a documentary, I did listen to the other side of the story. Did you?

Apparently, she was asked by these two gay men, “Haven’t you issued licenses to murderers, child molesters, thieves?” This in response to her stance, that she could not in good conscience, Issue a license to gay people.

What if I refused to sell a car to gay people, or a house? What if I didn’t even know they were gay? How does her stance line up with the plumb line of true justice? And I’m sorry but, they were right! Yes, I do wish they were not gay, but boy howdy, we need to grow!

The Early church (Apostles) were jailed because of signs and wonders, and not so much for what they preached, but the alarm over how many people were actually following them!

Sorcerers were put of business. Jesus was asked to leave town, because demons going into a herd of pigs, was just too much for them.

Little kids with big swords, shouting over the top of people “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS” are not going to win the battle.

I’m sorry, but her actions did not represent Christ, and if she can’t do this job with a clean conscience, she ought to have resigned from the job. And whether we like it or not, the gay people had a point. And, my ex-boss had a point, and Christians, come on now!

If we force our beliefs on others, how are we any better than those who do the same for any other religion? We are not a religion! We are Christians! Anointed ones! Believing for a demonstration of the Spirit’s power! Amen?

We all want a hero, but we need a wise hero. I”ve seen a lot of miracles, signs and wonders. Many I have never talked about, except to my Friends. Many were instigated with a bottle of oil, prayers, and a whole lot of faith, in secret, and in private, with God and I working together. My Hero is Jesus, and I am praying for signs and wonders to follow me.

How about you?

Becoming Miracle Minded #1 Don’t fear false hope……

MIRACLES DO HAPPN

Dear Father in the name of Jesus I pray….be with me today as I share this message and give me living hope, that what I say shall prevail, over every scheme of the enemy, and that it will help pull down strongholds, break barriers, crack doors wide open, and break every chain of bondage. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

“Don’t get your hopes up,” ever heard that expression? It’s a definite self-preservation stance. There are people who will risk rock-climbing, bungee jumping, or most anything dangerous, and yet they fear one thing the most: FALSE HOPE.

There are atheists who believe we must protect ourselves from this, and there are Christians who are far more terrified of “looking like a fool” than they are of death itself.

Don’t kid yourself, every minister of God who ever stepped out in Faith, said things like “you will get your miracle today,” faced the fears of false hope, before they ever said it.

I lost count of how many times I looked into the precious faces of my children, and they said to me “mom, what are we going to do?” (For we went through a lot of turbulence in our lives,” and my heart and mind would pray “Father please don’t allow me to give them false hope, show me what to say!” “Father please I need you to be with me, before I ever open my mouth!” ……

Well, He was always there………

But, where do these fears come from? I will tell you. Mostly, they come from those who did carelessly dish out false hope (In times past). Someone said everything would be okay and it wasn’t, or they said everything will be just fine and, it wasn’t fine.

However, that’s no excuse, for me anyway, to give up on the possibility of miracles, every single day of our lives. Signs and wonders follow those who believe (for miracles) Not those who do not believe for them. It’s very clear! So Let’s ask this question then,

Father, what miracles do you want me to believe for? Because I know you want me to believe for them! I know you are a miracle working God! This way, we have both submitted ourselves to God, (book of James) and we are resisting the devil, who says we should be afraid to hope…….

I have yet to meet a true believer who was ever sorry they had faith……..Sooner or later, regardless of the outcome, their faith is honored by God. They may not get it how they thought, when they thought, or maybe didn’t have quite the outcome they thought….

But a miracle did happen! I have seen it too many times not to believe this, with all my heart……..With love and affection, and I will say this again, don’t fear false hope! It’s not the damaging monster it claims to be.

#2 Contraceptives Were illegal? A man of God AVOIDS EXTREMES!! Word of Wisdom……for you and I.

a beautiful light house.jpgI was watching a show last night (documentary) and learned that for a long time, contraceptives were illegal, in the United States of America. I was watching in dismay, as I heard how this man tried to pass out contraceptives, and was arrested, even put in jail over it!

Many Christians believed (back then) it should be illegal, and were putting sure they were in God’s will to put up such a fight.  This was Extreme. (see the passage, Ecc 7:8)

AS God still says, a man who fears God, avoids all extremes. Now, you can ignore it, cast this wisdom off from you, but it’s Still a Word of God’s Wisdom, for us today.

What happened was, ONE MAN in a position of leadership, with great confidence in his beliefs, stood up and talked about why contraceptives should be illegal. He reasoned that Women could become promiscuous, or that they were not doing the will of God, and for a long time, many were on his side.

Women, through the years, have been made slaves by many, victims of abuse, untold suffering, and denied the freedom in Christ (to choose) and not so much today, but at one time, yes, they were denied much freedom.

We were designed to serve, love, nurture, but then again, so were men! Before the fall of Adam, men had all the attributes of God in their lives. God never intended for men to be brutal taskmasters, toward anyone! The next time you are thinking God is into your rally, just remember, what is justice to one, may be unjust towards another……..

NONE OF US Understands the full spectrum or scope of JUSTICE in it’s purest form, without seeing through the eyes of God the Father and Jesus, his son.

this is a word of Wisdom, for you and for me. Stop and consider, before you jump on the bandwagon for what you consider to be Justice. Amen.
