Spirited or Spiritual? There’s a big difference! Which are you?

Yes, I am called to share things as God directs me. I thought it was interesting, that awhile back in my prayer time, The Lord said to my heart “You have to find a way to bridge the gap.” In other words, he gives us his Word, direction, but then sometimes he does say (like I said to some kids yesterday) “create something” out of what I have given to you! So this morning, I was praying and thinking about this word: BROKEN! 

Immediately a vision came to me of a horse rearing, needing to be broken. What does this mean, really? Well it means the SPIRITED part needs to be broken, but, we don’t wish to break their spirit, amen. 

SO many do not understand, that being high spirited, is not the same as being spiritual. “Getting on fire” does not mean hell fire and damnation preaching, telling everyone what a piece of crap they are for not believing your views. How Do I know? 

Galatians 6:1 says “Restore in a spirit of Gentleness, that you yourselves may not be tempted.” Oh how we love our pep rallies, and to get fired up! Don’t we? “Get all militant, tell them how it is” (calling it spiritual!) The truth is, we think being gentle is boring (a lot of the time) Or, some do. I don’t have to own a horse, to know that you can break a horse, but not break his spirit. And here’s another thing, God isn’t going to ‘zap you” and make you be good either! YOU have to seek his discipline, correction, and ask Him This, “are you pleased with me Father?” For you see, HIS sons ask for Discipline! Correction! 

                He Loves those who seek him for more……….

I”ve been around spiritual people, and I’ve been around spirited people. Spiritual people are dead to being high-spirited. Usually, it’s because they have learned their high spirited ways leads only to trouble. Fighting. Squabbling, bickering, and the like. 

They learned their ways didn’t work, and that it never helped anyone “get to Jesus.” 

So.Do we ask for correction? And beg God “Please, I want be spiritual! I want to be like you, truly!” Or, do we just keep on being the same way we have always been?

One brings God results, the other brings flesh results, which is not a good result at all. 

“Father forgive me for my high spirited ways at time. Forgive me for thinking your ways are boring! You are never boring at all! On the other side of “death to myself” and my ways, is the Victory you long for me to see! May Signs and Wonders follow me, your power Father, Your will be done, and not my own. In Jesus name I pray! I don’t think a lot of people realize the struggle that occurs, in the fight to have a Passionate life. As Christians we so often fill our world with platitudes. “I’ll pray for you” we say (I say it often) and I really do, however……

There are just days when none of it really seems to help. Not that we aren’t grateful (for prayer) but when we’re still enduring the pain of some crushing blow, a huge disappointment, a tidal wave of fear wondering if anything is ever going to change…..

At that moment sometimes we just need a hug. A listening ear. Someone to say “It’s going to be okay and, by the way “I believe in you.”

Looking back on my life, I think about all the wonderful things I have experienced, fine dinners out at times, Lovely times looking at the moon, the stars, the beauty of nature…….

Times of abundance when the bills were paid and I actually got to go somewhere “cool”…

But you know what? I don’t know about you, but I treasure most the times when I was at my darkest hour, my lowest point, My “Worst day ever” and someone said, “I believe in you” “You’re going to make it” ………”Better days are ahead”……

Or like a friend said to me “I’m not going to quit, let’s not quit” ……….

Ah the power of affirmation………oh the treasures of the heart when someone speaks life to you and chooses not to do you in with a big shovel full of criticism…..

Your corner of the world……..

I was just thinking (what to post) As I have not posted as often lately, as I was before. I was thinking how we just need to be what we are called to be “in our little corner of the world” so to speak, until the Time God ushers us elsewhere. Faithfulness is not just about going to church faithfully. Many people daily go to work, clean their houses, tend to their children, Bless their communities, trim the trees, paint garages…..

Fix their cars, pay their taxes, take time to smile and talk to the grocery clerk, decide NOT to retaliate against that bad driver they just encountered, Volunteer to go the extra mile, pray for people, hold the hand of a friend that is in a difficult time, (sigh) yes do the dishes, take out the trash, feed the dog or cat, and oh “choose celery” over cake (at least for today) take time to smile at some kids dressed up for Halloween even if you don’t like that holiday much, (but say wow that costume is cute) Pray for someone instead of cussing them out because you find them offensive, (and so on and so forth) 

A million things we do each day…..

a million chances come our way 

To Make this world a better place 

And it fill it with God’s love and grace! 

I was thinking…..I wish I had figured this out sooner but….

Everything we do really DOES make a difference to someone!

Together we’re stronger! (Three cord strand) and Prayers of the People

Greetings! Well a long time ago someone found this scripture and God revealed to them it was a great tool in the Journey of Prayer:

Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
When People stand together in Prayer and Faith believing, Great things happen! Many Prayed with fervor, Peter was let out of Prison. People cried to the Lord, Moses showed up! 
There is strength in numbers, whether it’s prayer or just getting a big job done. 
So…..it’s a good thing to find someone who agrees with your Prayer and ask them to agree in prayer with you! Remember, everyone has to know what they are believing for (first) Otherwise it’s double-minded or maybe even wishy washy!
IF WE  all agree we are going to push the car (over there) so we push it in that direction and it moves! So we have to agree on things first like “God does not want Peter in Prison let’s pray he gets out” (which is what they did!) They all prayed Saul would stop killing Christians! Guess what? HE GOT SAVED! ……..WOW …..Powerful! 
I just love it when the Lord orchestrates a group of people to believe for something! and they all agree! They can literally move heaven and earth with their prayers, because God agrees with them! what an awesome thing!

Formulas Part 2 “let not your heart be troubled” …how can we make this so?

When the disciples decided to follow Jesus, they were also accepting an invitation to enter into a Covenant with Him. As they walked with him, he was allowing them to see, hear, and learn about him, and then finally decide, whether they wanted to be “IN Covenant” (or not).

Judas chose not to do that, as he decided at the end, his answer was “No.” 

This morning as I was thinking about the elections, the condition of our nation, and all the things I am hearing about the subject, I thought wow are we really in this Much trouble Lord? It’s scary (I thought) Some of the things we have heard……

Immediately the passage “Let not your heart be troubled” came to heart and mind. I already knew what it said after that, but I looked it up anyway, thinking “teach me Lord” what you are wanting to say to my heart.” ……..

See, I’ve read this scripture numerous times. Today I saw “Oh, so right after You said let not our hearts be troubled,” You said “In my house are many mansions.” Sounds like “don’t worry, because you get to die, then come up here with me, and all will be well!” Great answer! “pray for death?” …….Oh come on, don’t tell me you haven’t thought that at least one time! Where do you think that statement came from, “two things you can count on, death and taxes!” ……(me looking all aghast here!) 

Not long after (in John 14) Jesus adds “Ask what you will it shall be done that we might be Glorified” …(paraphrased) OH So .…It’s for his names sake! OH WOW a very big clue as to “how our prayers” should be shaped ……..

Yes yes, he’s the potter we are the clay. but you CAN KNOW what he is up to (if you care to know!). “I want to shape your prayers to think like me……” (more covenant stuff here) so we are in partnership with God himself! and He wants us to know HIS Desires so we can pray HE can be glorified! oh and Greater works will we do than HE (He said) WOW! 

Just be careful,  “greater things” Is still HIS Ideas not our own ideas! oooo because we still have to watch out for that enemy (satan) who says “I can be exalted and I have better ideas than God does” (OH DEAR LORD!) …….

Formulas: We want them because we are too lazy to pray (sometimes) or it’s just too much bother to “GET TO KNOW THE LORD” ……Oh how sad that is! 

Tell you what, Let’s get together and pray Father, what do you want in this situation? What would you like to see happen? This is YOUR earth YOUR PLANET and I am yours! 

ALL You have is mine, because All I have is yours Father God! Covenant (like marriage) and let me tell you something, Your MARRIAGE To God takes precedence over every other commitment or, it should………….right? ………..

So we have a lot to look forward to people of God “BEFORE” we go to heaven! “Greater things shall we do “(in HIM) And Amen.

Formulas and Spiritual concoctions, why they don’t work………

We’d all like a formula, to solve all our problems! Wouldn’t we? Better yet, a magic genie, or some mystical experience with Aladdin’s lamp. I lost track of how many times, as a young mother, I thought “I wish” I could be like that woman on Bewitched, wiggle my nose “poof” the house is clean! That deep seated desire (in our soul realm) is the very reason many wind up mixing “mysticism” with a trace of God-stuff. 

Hey, I don’t blame you! We need to get out of this idea that God is angry, throwing things, having some giant temper tantrum in the sky, just because we insulted him with our “bad ideas.” We wonder why people are not drawn to the God we love so much. Why would they be? According to some, he is extremely temperamental! 

Back to the Formula Analogy, I want you to remember that no lie can stand, without a truth to hold it up. True, there will be a formula (of sorts) For each individual situation. 

Mud in your eyes, go dip in the river, a floating ax, march around Jerico……These are just a few examples of formulas, if you will, in the pages of the bible. OH and there is sowing, reaping, giving, prayers of petition, covenant meal, which many call communion, use of anointing oil…..and so on, and so forth. 

The thing is, we as humans, want to leave out the primary ingredient; RELATIONSHIP with God. Personal relationship! “Peter,” He said “Feed my Sheep,” John (he said) “take care of my Mother” (Paraphrased) and to Stephen: “stand there, behold my glory” (as he is stoned, to death!). “Paul,” GO wherever I tell you, even if chains and prison awaits you………” But the thing is, Paul declared “He would” be delivered from every single thing he encountered, until, it came his time to go to heaven. 

One thing we often forget, every person in the bible with a Testimony, was actually in Covenant with God Almighty! And, I might add, it was personal. Very Personal. 

This is why, just memorizing passages of scripture (or hearing them sometimes) does not give us the full picture of what is going on, in the Mind of God and Christ. WE need to see the whole story, the backdrop, and what was going on with each person (in our bible) that was in this covenant relationship with God Almighty. But see, we want formulas (I do too, sometimes).

Making scripture into Formulas (without relationship) is the reason so many atheists say “I tried that, It didn’t work for me” and bash God so angrily……..

Think about that for a minute. What are we teaching? And why? 

What I have learned is, each time I gain a victory, it has to do with God saying “You do this, now trust me for that” (Other thing I want to trust him for) and it’s never the same twice!  Why?

Well, just for one thing, he wants me to know him! (More and more) So therefore, in my personal relationship with Him, I will find things are always changing, or just a bit different! So much for Formula’s, and all the gainsaying that goes with it. If you’d like to know more about that one, look it up? God’s not into Magic but he does do Miracles…..

God is not into Magic, but Miracles. even in the case of Pharaoh, he could not
change Pharaoh’s Heart. Why?
 
Because Pharaoh had his own mind and he had authority over his own soul life.
He chose to become hardened and not to get softened at the words of the Lord, which came to him Via Moses.
The plagues were a result of His rejection of God’s words. satan always wants to do damage (steal, kill and destroy) it’s his mission. When he sees an un-surrendered person he always wants to go after them with vile passion and vengeance thinking the best way to hurt God, is to kill off his people.
Therefore, the way the Old testament is written (the way it presents things) “I set before you life and death” God said in Deut. CHOOSE LIFE!
What we choose is what brings the results. God results or the devils results. Because of people only partially understanding the OT that is why we have floods, fire and such, listed as “acts of God” to this day” ….which is a very big lie that needs to be rectified by the way. God does miracles. He works with willing people. They will receive if they will listen and they will be a blessing..…..
They will declare words of life or death…….Sometimes yes Prophets even have to
say “Your table will become a snare” and that is not speaking a curse.
It’s facing the reality of what a person has chosen, and granting them what they wish.
Their hearts desire is to reject and resist God and be full of their own ways. God in his
infinite mercy and wisdom, grants them their request. does he like it?
NO But he
is a realist.
He’s not a fantasizer. He is a realist with the greatest Love and Faith
we have ever known (or not yet known) ……God is so great! SO Unimaginably full
of great thoughts toward his children. he just wants us to receive it all!
oh how my heart hurts for this who will not (receive him) and his blessings.
Magic is another story altogether. It’s a fantasy (a lie) that a person changes from one thing to another without growing without receiving and without allowing themselves to be redeemed.
We want to see frogs turned into princes. But it’s not going to happen not unless the toad cries out “Father have mercy on me a sinner” …………………………So, no free rides for toads.
They will have to surrender (cry for mercy) and truly mean it before a just and Holy God…..who is Fair, Loving, Kind yes but not a pushover, and certainly not a God we can “con” Or get anything past Him…
God Spoke this to my heart wants me to share it so..I did. Whoever has ears to hear Let him hear. Laura Grace, servant, daughter of God (the Almighty King).

What’s this whole Jezebel thing about?

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for this word today from you to your people Via me! (who is part of your living body amen) Please let this word be Received by all who need it …..he who has ears to hear! Let him Hear! amen. 

I have this word for you…….if You care to receive it..by the Grace of God.

Jezebel. Well there’s been entire ministries, built around this subject now ….

Its not that complicated! Basically there are two references on in Kings, one in Revelation. She was covetous. Wanted money. An idolatress. If We are free from the Love of money and idolatry……we needn’t be worried (or that concerned!)

LISTEN! God showed me this! If you think you need to pray 20 prayers and turn yourself inside out to get rid of something that’s fine, believe what you will but…..

ALL You really have to do is this “Father I repent and turn away from being in agreement with anyone in Idolatry, love of money……

Who thinks the Gospel is a means to gain……who would murder (snuff out)their brethren for the sake of gain…….

Now I resist this Jezebel attitude and spirit (in Jesus’ name) and thank you Father for helping me to walk free of it! Amen! 

its so simple! If a ministry is based on her teachings (Idolatry, love of money) the children of this ministry will not make it (the seeds, will not produce fruit!) Its got 

religion……loving things (and money) more than God (harlotry) ….The devil loves it when we complicate the crap out of everything! it stresses us out! We cannot rest! We have to pray all day long to get rid of his demons (supposedly) ……….(rolling my eyes!!)

HE IS such a LIAR! 

see why it’s so important to Grow and become Christ like? Yes! You do! And it really is…..

Ask God to remove, cut away your love of money, or wanting the gospel to be a means of gain. Ask him to deliver you from any sort of TOLERATION Of a Jezebel attitude. He will!

He wants to do it! He already paid the Price Via Jesus! It’s a  done deal! you have the key! .

How the BRAIN (mind of Christ) edifies the body……….(this is important!)

I want to talk today about how the brain (the mind of Christ) edifies the Body (his people). So if you are grafted in (part of the Body of Christ)…..Whatever part you are, feet, hands, ears, eyes……When your toe gets stepped on what happens in the natural? 

OUCH! (your brain is instantly notified) You want to make it stop (right now!). If you see a train coming, the brain says “MOVE” and so on, and so forth. 

Likewise (this is so simple) So when the bible says the body edifies itself in love, or we should not say “we have no need of you” (to the foot, the hands, etc) We should all have the mind of Christ (the brains, of this operation!). 

When one suffers, we all suffer! (we are a body!). Now think on this for a minute, the eye sees what’s coming (Notifies the brain) and the renewed mind of Christ prays! 

The ear hears (speaks to the rest) and again (with the mind of Christ involved!) as it edifies! The Mind of Christ will never say “Panic!” “You’re doomed!” “In trouble?” Yes maybe (Pray!!) …..but anyway that’s my little message today, which the Lord put on my heart to share with you! I want you to remember, every part (of your body) Is important to you therefore, every part is important to the Lord as well!

Now if a foreign object gets in (to your body) what happens? It irritates! Causes infection! Has to be removed! (and we pray about this as well.) 

Father please help us remember…..Wrong thinking leads to big mistakes! so God is after us to learn! Grow! and to get more insight from Him (about what we should do next!) Just doing my part…..as part of the Body…………My love to you all! (just a reminder!) In Jesus’ name!
