Every day life….and dogs……..

105_0073.JPG

This Dog……I have to share this Testimony with you. Tim was always a cat person, he didn’t like dogs when we first got together. Anyway this is COOPER ……

He didn’t want a dog, I talked him into Happy, then we got Cooper.

Happy went everywhere Tim, layed at his feet and licked his hand every day and they were just like best friends almost. When cooper first came to live with us Tim called him a monster and a land shark.

Now they are so close- and Cooper just last night grabbed his coat and pulled on him …he was so excited to ride in the truck with him and knew that’s what they were doing. He jumps up on him and literally Tries to TALK if Tim won’t scratch him.

“ROW OW OW“….he says……and tries to make his hand scratch him.

He’s a character! He tried so hard to kill this ball for us so it won’t bother us. LOL ……He eats bees and flies all the time it’s a serious mission to him to KILL THEM because they might be bothering us. Anyway It’s a dog story………..we love our dogs, they love us.

We still love Happy even though he’s gone….and think of him often.

Tim saw the benefits of dogs from being with one every day, learning of their unconditional love, funny ways and loyal friendship. Isn’t that how we all learn something? From constant exposure to something good?

Or if it’s bad, eventually we learn to get away from it! right? -Laura Grace, Author

We all want a Happy Ending…..don’t we?

Rainbow aI was thinking this morning, How we all Want a Happy Ending! If I am honest, my favorite movies are the ones which have one. How about you? People are drawn to the spectacular…..the Hero who wins the day,

The Villain that “gets his punishment” and the one whom all their dreams come true…….I was thinking how, we all have our own story, don’t we? It’s too easy to judge ourselves, just because we didn’t have the outcome we intended, or even believed for……

I think it’s fine to believe for miracles (and happy endings) but the truth is, we need to be prepared for both the happy ending, and the times it doesn’t all go like we wished…….

For me, that’s what Christianity truly is (in part) to learn to be content in all things, to learn to be happy and rejoice “despite the outcome” that is not going how we wished it would go. There are so many times in my life, I was weeping, disappointed and things did not go how I prayed (or how I planned) but later….I found that God did not forget!

SUDDENLY the thing I desired appeared! And had I given up completely….to the point where IF I had burned my bridges (so to speak) I never would have seen the Miracles I believed for!

HOPE LIVES even when things seem to be going oh so wrong……HOPE says MY GOD HAS NOT Forgotten my prayers……He loves me, HE cares……He wants what is best for me. Happy Resurrection day to you all, even though the real Passover is April 2016 this year! See? The day does not matter the technicality of it all “does not matter” because God is far more interested in what we believe about Him! That HE IS GOOD that HE LOVES US.

That’s why he sent Jesus………to show us all how much HE really does care! if we can’t get that simple truth….how can we get any more from Him? (and have our Happy Ending!)

The Triumph of Love, by Chip Brogden

The Triumph of Love

“He died FOR me!” says one who hears the story.

“He died AS me!” says one who knows the Man.

To embrace the Cross is

To take the greatest possible risk

To endure the greatest possible suffering

To overcome the greatest possible evil

To achieve the greatest possible good

To demonstrate the greatest possible love.

Love begets the desire to know intimately.

Intimate knowing begets trust.

Trust begets confidence.

Confidence begets boldness.

Boldness begets leaps of faith.

Leaps of faith beget victory.

Victory begets joy and peace.

Joy and peace beget gratitude.

Gratitude begets love.

Love begets the desire to know intimately…

We need to have Faith! Or at least I do…..

ROSE IN THE LIGHT!I went to the doctor yesterday……..

For my annual check up only, it’s been 2 years since I went. I have to tell you, I really do not like going to the doctor. Why? Well they often speak to me of what could happen and give warnings, which are not always warnings from God.

Why? Well, I’m sure the knowledge (at times) and information can be valuable, and trust me when I say, I do listen to them when I go there. So much of my life, the odds have been stacked against me, and it’s taken years of focus, hard training, meditation, scripture study and renewing my mind, to get to the point where I am not afraid to get out of bed in the morning and FACE LIFE. I do not need help being scared! (amen?) I can do that just fine, all by myself!

The truth is, Trauma, bad things (car wrecks, all that stuff) which have happened to us, sort of robs us of our innocence and has the potential to disable us spiritually.

If we become spiritually disabled, unable to believe for things we cannot see, cannot comprehend in the natural (how it can happen) there is no hope we will be able to run the race of faith very well. So the choice is ours, (really) whether we let the bad things that have happened disable us, to the point where we find ourselves becoming cynical, non-optimistic, and a person who declares FAITH to us our enemy, instead of our friend.

Here’s an example for you. Let’s say you are cooking, someone comes along and starts talking to you and says; “You know, 1000 people a year burn their hands while frying eggs.” Now I’m so nervous, I just might burn my hands frying eggs!

When I am frying eggs I need you to cheer me on, have Faith for me that I will do it just right. I don’t see how standing there telling me what could happen is going to help me fry eggs better.  But now, if I did burn my hands, and I was praying for wisdom, and God uses someone to show me “how to avoid that in the future’ that is a really good thing!

There is such a fine line between Knowledge that puffs (us) Up and the type of Knowledge God is talking about when he says “Add to your Faith, Knowledge, to Knowledge…….” It’s a passage about how God wants to build things into our lives (Faith, Knowledge, Self control, perseverance, and so on)

He is talking about knowledge HE wants to give us here, not knowledge the world wants us to have. Earthly wisdom is sensual, demonic. My bible says so! TRUTH Is TRUTH but we need to constantly allow the HOLY SPIRIT TO be the filter of what is truth and what is fiction or half-truths. So Yes Father, I do want the truth, but only your truth, not the world’s version of the truth! and I simply refuse to be La-TI-DA about it all!

“I want your wisdom! Father I want your input into my life! And thank you that your Word says You give wisdom to all, without finding fault! (book of James) so right now I ask you cause me to hear from YOU Lord, grant me discernment! Let the meditations of my heart and mind be pleasing to you Father God! In Jesus’ name we pray and, do not allow us to believe the lies of the enemy (even for a minute) In Jesus’ precious name!  Amen” -Laura Grace

Are you a Pioneer? Or settler?

DIRT ROAD IN DENTONroad picture

Settlers Settle. Pioneers venture out. Which are you? you can be both, you know.

The bible talks about pressing on, going forward, striving toward what is ahead, but it also talks about God strengthening, settling, and establishing us. I believe walking with God involves both; times of settling times of pioneering, and going forth into new territory with Him. There is a commercial on TV that says “settlers settle” and of course its’ about someone settling for less than what they “could have.”

I don’t want to do this. I believe we are born to win, born to master, born to overcome.

This old dirt road, a long time ago was just grass, then a rutted and hard-to-travel road. Someone paved the way by adding gravel, had a vision to make it easier (for cars to go upon) and later on, some even had a vision to pave it. That’s what I do when I write books, the hard won revelations I have received (and vision) of Growing, developing in Christ and soaring with him, I have established a road. I have not done it all by myself, God has anointed and appointed me to write on certain topics, others have done so as well.

We all have this vision of travelling the road (together) and hoping to make it less bumpy, less difficult, and easier for all of us (each other) to find our way HOME which is living in the Kingdom of God while we live upon this earth. We are strangers to this world, we are one with one another in God’s kingdom. Don’t settle for less than knowing Jesus fully, he wants you to have it all! He wants to eat with you, travel with you, laugh with you, cry with you and be your very bestest friend. #I love you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit for making the road easier to find, for all of us. In Jesus’ name we pray. amen

WHO GOT MY SOCKS WET? by Laura Grace

colton and tim.jpg
Tim carving a pumpkin with Colton

This morning was pretty much like every other morning. I went to pick up the dogs I dog sit at 7:20 am, prior to that, made breakfast, got dressed, fumbled around in a dark room before I woke up my husband for work, and was sort of in a hurry……..

I went to get ice from the freezer for a second cup of iced coffee, my favorite thing here lately. I dropped three ice cubes on the floor……they scattered, I was in a hurry, so I didn’t have time to fool with them. I saw one in the pathway where we walk and kicked it off to the side, going on my way!

After I got Tim up, he was out in the kitchen in his socks and said “why is the floor wet out here, did we have a fire?” I said, “no……..” (and started laughing) …..and could not stop!

The reason I could not stop, is it reminded me of another sock incident years ago….

when..(drum roll) we didn’t have toilet paper and I used a sock to “do my thing” and hear this horrible objection from the bathroom “WHO Wiped (rear-end)  with my sock!!”

and I laughed that time too! Sometimes I wonder if the people in the bible ever laughed. Did they? They had to didn’t they? Surely some really funny stuff happened, along the way to Jericho (or wherever they went). I wonder if God just figures we ought to have common sense, and figure out for our own selves “Laughter” really is VERY GOOD MEDICINE!!

I’m so glad he doesn’t say what we can laugh about, and what we can’t. Who knows when something will hit you as funny? You just never know!!

have a happy (laughter filled) day!

You’re treasure needs to be……..(and you know it)

TREASURE BOx.jpgJesus says our treasure needs to be the Kingdom of God within us, and His righteousness. And we know it’s true.

Matthew 13, talks about a treasure, which a man would sell all he has to obtain it. It says in the book of John, we cannot even see the Kingdom of God, unless we are born again.

Romans 14 tells us what the Kingdom of God actually is, and there are many references to the Kingdom of God besides this, hidden within our bibles for all to find, and see.

When God said the love of money is the root of all evil, He did not mean that money itself is evil. Treasuring money (and the pursuit of it) above God’s Kingdom is what brings corruption. What you treasure most, that is where your heart will be.

I have asked God what my mission really is, and what my books are all about. This is what He said to me, “They talk about being humble, knowing it’s the cure for corruption, but they don’t know how to get there. To bridge the gap, someone needs to tell them, but nobody wants to tell them at all. They are busy patting themselves on the back for all the supposedly good things they do. Others watch what they do and commend them too.

However, it’s all for nothing when it’s done apart from me (John 15) as apart from me you can do nothing. You can do something, without really accomplishing anything for my Kingdom. When you’re treasure is not the Kingdom of God, it will eat you up inside, still, you will not admit it, quit it, and claim new ground for my Kingdom. The Kingdom of God needs to be built within you.” -by Laura Grace

a great prayer that still stands in Heaven…..

….”[For I {Paul} always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints [His set-apart ones], And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps. 8:6.] Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself]”…. The Miracle that happened when I wasn’t looking……

This car: 2014 Chevy sonic …….I was shopping for a Jeep when I got it! The Lord caused it to just jump out at me !! I got like 4,000 off the price too……..NEW CAR JULY 17 2014.jpg

Anyway…….I wasn’t looking for this particular blessing, in fact, I was praying for Gods will for a new vehicle, “his best for me” …….and I was also seeking the Kingdom of God.

My Jeep, which was a rugged all terrain vehicle with a deer guard, had simply worn out. It wasn’t until today I realized, a miracle God did for me when I wasn’t even looking! See, for years I was scared of tiny little vehicles like this. I was told if I ever got in a wreck, I would be so dead (in an instant) so, I have carried this fear of little cars for years and years now.

It didn’t seem like a big deal to me, (to have this fear) but I really did have it. When I rode with anyone in a small car My heart would just race, and I prayed, a lot!

So Now, I’ve had this car for two years, it was on the showroom floor, 4,000 off the price, so I have lost no value on it, as far as appraisal goes. It’s a great little car. God caused me to get it, caused me to like it, and how do I know this? because “LAURA” Had fear of little cars yet she said “YES” that’s the one! I lost all my peace shopping for a Jeep, even though that’s what I wanted. and let me tell you, this car has been a BLESSING……..

it gets about 40 mpg on the highway, comfortable ride, has plenty of room for groceries…….gets up and goes even in the winter time.

But I did have to tell you, this deliverance from fear (over little tiny cars) just left one day when I was busy seeking God’s Kingdom, chasing after HIM and not stuff. just sayin’

What if…..they lie….wolves disguised

wolves

Hello. SO “Father in the name of Jesus, I ask you to guide this message as I speak, and let it totally be of you, and in your Spirit in Jesus’ name I pray. amen.”

We were watching the movie “Enough” last night with Jennifer Lopez. It’s the second or third time I’ve seen it. It’s a harsh movie, very harsh circumstances, daughter and mom both in danger and trouble, from the man she married, thinking he would love her and he did not keep his vows, or his promises, according to this story line.

AS I was watching it, I thought about my own life (history) and what God brought me out of, and what I’ve been reading about a certain religion that claims to be peaceful, yet I keep reading of women being dragged through the streets for punishment, being whipped, child brides married and raped “to death” and all kinds of horrendous things being done in the name of ‘religion” and it happens to be a religion that is trying to knock on the door of America’s heart. America says, “give me your tired, you poor” your huddled masses yearning to breath free.

I used to be like that, my heart was set on loving every person who ever needed anything from me, at any time. I never reckoned or counted on being conned, lied to, deceived to my face, and I never anticipated the danger of my very own children going without, being in danger themselves, or anything else as my idealistic little heart was so set on LOVE ……

But not the open eyed kind of love, the blind kind of love. The near sighted kind, the kind you never have again once you have been a victim of terrorism, hatred if you don’t bow and do what you are told, if you don’t think like you are told to think (even if you know it’s wrong) and all because you took someone at their word, when they promised to be a good person, a nice person, a fair person, and then you find out: THEY LIED !!

Well, the truth is, there are a lot of people out there who are not really practiced up on being fruit inspectors, or even being discerning. I wasn’t either until I got duped, and I mean duped so bad I almost lost my life over it. So this warning about wolves in sheep clothing In our bible? It’s very real, Not a game. And the wolves are not the ones who are going to church or not going, tithing or not tithing, none of that has any relevance.

The wolves are the ones who pretend to be peaceful, pretend to be those who need help, and inside the mission is to overtake you, destroy you, eat you alive………..and have you for lunch. They do whatever their animal instincts tell them, without regard for you.

It’s not a little warning about a little problem it’s a BIG warning about a very serious threat! Well, Here’s the thing, I wish I would have prayed before I jumped on the bandwagon all those years ago, insisting we all love love love the wolves wolves wolves …..

And this Mercy God was talking about? Be merciful to yourself! to your children, to your family! Jesus did say resist the devil, and he will flee…….but if we just let him into our house watch out! so be careful how you believe K? Find out what Jesus meant, ask him, I didn’t until it was almost too late…….because I wanted to be the one who loved the most and be like Jesus! but I did not understand He hates evil and wants us to resist because HE LOVES US …..and he doesn’t want us torn to shreds by ravenous wolves.

Love to you all. The Lord Grant you discernment, wisdom Open the eyes of your heart, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing, In Jesus’ name, Amen
